  1. Sounds like you are doing a great job. 4 oz of soup is plenty. That takes me about 30-40 minutes to eat. I totally feel full and woozy if I eat or drink to fast. My dr said to give 5 minutes between each sip or spoonful. 10 min between each when I get to soft/regular food. I've read on here several times that we'll be able to have more liquids than food and portion sizes may actually decrease when we eat real food. You're doing super, just stay the course!
  2. Congrats! You should be very proud of yourself! Keep up the great work!
  3. Make sure you get as much Protein and Water as you can. My first week back was hard. I kept getting drowsy mid-afternoon. The everyday naps while I was off were hard to give up. Make sure you get a good nights sleep too. Also, my dr said it was ok to increase the B-12 to help increase energy. Don't worry, it gets better just about every day.
  4. I'm so glad I found this thread! I thought I was the only person in the world that could have WLS then not lose in the 2nd week. Yea! I'm not alone! My dr said to stay the course.
  5. Thanks to all....I'm at day 8 with 9 lost by day 6 now nothing for last 2 days. Seems silly to even be concerned after 2 days. It's just the extreme urge to weigh myself like every hour. I agree that has to stop!
  6. Congratulations Carla! Your message is very inspiring and powerful. I can't wait to be where you are! Candi
  7. Hi! Think you should try to stay as close to your normal diet (normal liquid diet that is) as possible. You should be able to get soup and lowfat yogurt wherever you are staying. I would however either take a good supply of protein shakes/powder or make a trip to the grocery store when you get there. I've packed the Premier boxes in my checked luggage before. Powder packs easily. Good luck!
  8. You look amazing!!! Keep up the great work!
  9. Designer whey - Natural flavor from Vitamin Shoppe is pretty flavorless. Keep in mind, even the flavorless ones are a powder and that in it's self will change the flavor of your yogurt or Soup to some degree. You just have to mix it really well too and I wouldn't use more than a couple spoonfuls. (I tried a whole scoop in some mashed potatoes...tasted fine but had weird texture.
