  1. I've been able to take my medications just fine...if they are tablets, break them in half. Best bet is to ask your doc!
  2. Yes, I'm afraid the last few weeks have been incredibly overwhelming! Between having oral surgery and preparing for getting sleeved (3 days out now). It's quite easy to join. The tab on the homepage. I think it says "community" then one says "social group" you can type in February 2013 Sleeve Buddies and then a tab will pop up that says join. I will try to pick back up with adding new members soon...these first few days of recovery have been hard for me, I'm having a lot of pain, and the meds make me sleepy so I'm spending a good amount of time in bed.
  3. immediately after being sleeved on February 18th , I was absolutely miserable! The gas pain was excruciating ! Everyone said it would be painful, but I was not prepared for just how painful it was! I'm feeling a little better two days later, just trying to get in all my liquids! Anyone who is in the beginning stages, just know that it does get better!! Check out my battle scars! 4. I'm doing so much better today! After coming out of recovery and getting to my room I was absolutely miserable. The gas pain was unbearable, but it's gotten better each day. Hope everyone else is doing well!
  5. Good grief...that was supposed to say "I hope everyone else is doing well"

  8. I know that in reality it's not the absolute worst thing in the world...it's just stinkin inconvenient! LOL!

  10. haha! I like that! kill 5 or 6 birds with one stone!
  11. All things happen for a reason. Just look on this as a learning experience! You will be better prepared and have a game plan next time.
  12. Well this is just fan-freakin'-tastic...I started my period the day before my surgery! I was supposed to have it last week, but noooooooo...mother nature has a sense of humor and it's a sadistic one. I know it's not a super big deal, but to me it feels like adding insult to injury! I'm already gonna be alone, uncomfortable, and a little scared...now let's add menstruating to that! Just my luck!
  13. Packing up to go to the hospital! My surgery is at 10:30 tomorrow morning, but I am checking in at midnight tonight since it's a two hour drive from where I live and I have friends in that area. I'm starting to get nervous...
  14. I have had mixed reactions....most have been positive, but for the few that have been negative I just told them that I appreciated their opinion, but this is my choice and I expect them to respect that. If they have anything negative to say, they can keep it to themselves.
  15. Best of luck to everyone who got sleeved today!! I had my pre-op appointment this morning and I'm getting sleeved at 10:30 am on Monday the 18th!! I'm very nervous and very excited! Best of luck to all!!!
  16. Had my pre-op visit today!! Scheduled for 10:30am February 18th! So excited!
  17. I did soooo well the first week! No cheating! Then Sunday came a round and I had a little tiny bit of food, and then again on Monday....and today. Bah....I've said it time and again, we are responsible for what we put in our mouths! I'm so disappointed in myself, but I can't change the past! I have to move forward and do the right thing from now on!! I know it's hard, but we can all succeed!
  18. Hey all! I'm sorry for those of you that i have not sent an invite to for the February 2013 Sleevers group! i have been super busy, and now I have just had 4 teeth cut out by an oral surgeon so I am just taking it easy. There is a way to join the group without me sending you an invite. if you are using VST from your computer there is a tab on your main screen that says "Commuinity" then click the tab that says "Social Groups" a box that is titled "Group Search" will be on the right side and then where it says "Group Name:" you will put in "February 2013 Sleevers". after that there will be a rectangular black icon that says "Join Group" on the right side of the page. click that and you are good to go! Once again, I'm sorry for not being able to keep up with everyone, I just have not had the time or the energy lately! Best of luck to everyone getting their sleeve done this week!!!
