  11. When else have you lost an average of 14.6lbs a month? It didn't come on over night. It won't come off over night. Relax and enjoy your journey. Stay on your plan and you will lose it. You got this!!!!
  12. If they require you to produce your weight history is where this comes into play. I was lucky and didn't have to provide this but some do.
  13. I didn't have this requirement, but a friend of mine did. She was like you and had dropped below the required BMI once during her 5 yr history. She was told if she could prove she had been on a diet at that time she would still qualify. Only your insurance can decide this. Have your surgeons office submit anyway.
  14. Plenty of room on the bench!!!!
  15. APPROVED!!!!!! That was all the email I got from my insurance coordinator said this morning!!!! Can I say "OMG I about had a freaking heart attack." I have been the worst patient possible. I have hounded that poor woman everyday. I have hounded the insurance (UHC) everyday. My voice became familiar enough they knew what I was calling about soon as they heard my voice. But ALL the work I have done feels like it has paid off now!!!! The count down has begun. 6 days and about 9 hours tell I get my spot on the losers bench. Y'all move over!!! Lol
  16. Got my Verbal approval today!!! I have pre op visit with the surgeon and pre admit with the hospital Monday 9/30 then surgery Oct. 1....hope you get your date quickly!!!
  17. I have been on this site for well over a year. I have been through a lot in that year, as I am sure we all have been. When I started here our insurance wouldn't pay for any WLS. So my only option was to go to MX. I had planned to have it Jan 17 2013 with Dr. Lopez in PV. I met 2 great ladies here during that time who were having surgery same place and same time and another who was having surgery with DR. Alvarez at the same time. We have stayed in touch and I call those ladies friends. They have done awesome!!! But I had to cancel due to some family issues. My marriage was on the rocks, mom was having surgery, a lot of crap!!! I went into a deep depression at this time cause I felt like I shoulda forgot everyone else's crap and took care of me. Low and behold insurance began paying for WLS right after that and I began hoop jumping as of April. I finished up SEpt 13th they submitted my file that day to insurance did all my pre op testing and we scheduled surgery that day for October 1st. I have been having a bout of negativity since. Thinking there would be no way I would get the approval back by then. I will probably get denied for some obscure reason. Something will happen. Well God saw fit to take care of it for me and I got My APRROVAL today!!!!! Yay!!!! Me!!!! I have one week and y'all better move in over on that losers bench!!!!
