  1. I had my surgery 10 months ago today, October 15, 2013 and haven't regretted it one single day since. I'm down 70lbs and have another 50 to get to goal! So glad I made the decision to save my life!

  3. Hi! I'm 3 weeks post op and just wondering what everyone was eating T this stage. In almost Fraid to try new but because of the hurricane last week, I had to try a few different foods due to having to leave my house and my food behind. I tried a little bit of lazana ( no meat) a lot of scrambled eggs, cup I noodle soup...now that I'm back home and with full power, I'd just like to know what most people were eating at 3 weeks our. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

  5. Hi! I had surgery on 10/15 do I'm 10 days post op...I have been having a burning pain around my main incision that's not getting any better. The incision itself looks fine, although it is sunken in- idk if anyone else has had that happen? I have read that is somewhat normal and should flatten out over time. Anyway, I went for my post op appt today and my dr said I should not be in so much pain...he also said that area looks to be more swollen than the rest of my stomach so he is sending me for a ct scan. He tried massaging the area of the incision and tried "popping" the skin out (the sunken area). It hurt like hell so he stopped and said it will eventually flatten out on its own. So now I'm a nervous wreck just thinking about what could be wrong with me. I go for my ct scan at 11 tomorrow but I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to drink all the contrast liquid that's required. Has anyone had the horrible burning pain that I'm going thru? Getting up and sitting down are torture- everything is torture! I just hope its not serious...
  6. That incision has hurt from day 1...I'm guessing that's the hole that my stomach and gallbladder came out of. If its not any better by the morning I'm going to call my dr
  7. I had my surgery on Monday- came home yesterday and I honestly didn't expect to be in this kind of pain. It's only the one incision that hurts but it burns like hell anytime I move. Idk if its worse because I had my gallbladder removed as well- who knows but I wish I was feeling better than I am. And as for all who were sleeved within the last week- what are u guys "drinking". I'm having a very hard time getting in all my water...seems impossible
  8. I just got home from the hospital 10 minutes ago- had sleeve and gallbladder removed...not fun but at least it's all done in one procedure! Many times, after significant weight loss, people have to go back in for another surgery because of gallstones. You'll be ok- but it's not easy...be prepared for it and hopefully you have a good support system! Good luck!
  9. Hi everyone! I'm still in hospital- supposed to go home today but last night I had fever so we'll see! My dr said it went perfect, no complications at all but when I try eating jello or drinking water I get that horrible pain- even though I'm doing it sooooooo slowly...wondering when that will get better and wondering if I'm crazy for having done this to myself
  10. Thank you all for the supportive words!! Getting ready to leave for the hospital now! I'm still nervous but excited- this is the first day to a new, healthy life!! Good luck to all having surgery today- keep us in your prayers! xo
  11. So I'm scheduled for surgery at 7:30am and I'm having second thoughts...I keep thinking what if something goes wrong...I have 3 kids that need me. Am I crazy to consider backing out when I've come so far?
  12. Today was day 3 for me. Going ok, it is hard though...it's amazing the foods you crave just because you know you can't eat them- my mind is my worst enemy! I haven't weighed myself though- tomorrow I go for my last appt before surgery and for my pre-op testing at hospital. I'll find out then if I lost anything.
  13. October 15th...getting nervous but still very excited! I'm just afraid of failure and loose skin
