Wow, thank you all for your amazing stories! I don't think I will regret it either. I'm totally ready to begin my new journey into WLS world. Fingers and toes crossed the insurance approves.

Just curious, if approved I plan getting the sleeve but started to wonder. How many of your actually regret getting it to begin with?

I have not been sleeved yet. I do intend on having a drink once surgery is done and I'm healed. I heard a story were someone that got sleeved is now suing because he became an alcoholic. Didn't realize the effects and is now addicted to it. I thought that was crazy!

Pending ins approval, I to am scheduled for 10/24. We can do it!!!

My bmi is 35 and I'm scheduled for 10/24 to be sleeved pending ins approval. I started my liquid diet today and an only allowed 3-4 protein shakes, water, crystal light and 2 cups veggies per day. I have to do this for 2 weeks... Keep me in your prayers cause this girl is a little cranky.

I was told it's much easier to get approved for lap band since its an ambulatory service (outpatient). Ins approve sleeve less offen since considered an inpatient service. Good luck, it will happen. I'm in same boat and planning on fighting my ARSH off.

Thanks everyone . I think what gets me most annoyed is if you have a BMI greater than 30 your considered obese. Yet not covered by insurance. Annoying!!!!! I know how to lose weight, I've done it all my life. I just can't keep it off.

I believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I have faith, if I'm meant to have surgery then it will happen.

Hi all my name is Jenna and my surgeon has scheduled me for the VSG on 10/24 only to get denied by my insurance. Dr is going to do verbal appeal tomorrow. Fingers crossed! I appreciate no negative comments. Just because my BMI isnt 40 or more doesn't mean I do not deserve a chance to be healthier.

Good luck! It's going to be well worth the wait. Plus no one says you can't start your healthier life now
