Sept.24Th Sleevers How Are You All Doing?
Is anyone else experiencing stomach cramping after drinking or eating anything? Is this normal?

Afraid To Eat :)
My doctor said anything that easily flows through a strainer is ok to have for the first 21 days... start with 1oz of liquid every 15 minutes. Also, be careful of drinks you make in a blender because they have a lot of air and might cause discomfort. Protein shakes are a must because protein helps the healing process.

Question For 5 Days Out
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that wants to eat!! I thought I was a freak!!! lol They say your appetite isn't supposed to come back for several months but all I've wanted to do since coming home is have something satisfying to eat. I'm down 13lbs down so far but the liquid diet is difficult. Try sugar free popsicles. They're great!

Question For 5 Days Out
I agree, I was sleeved on Wed the 26th and feel great. Drinking too fast makes me burp and gives me a gurgly feeling and my incision is really painful to touch on the left side. Other than that, I'm down 13lbs and loving life....Not hungry but sure wish I could eat lol

Anyone Bought Any Bariatric Meals? How Are They?
Anybody on here willing to tell me about what life's like after the sleeve? I know side effects with this procedure are significantly less then with other bariatric surgeries. But, I'm wondering, am I going to be nausiated all the time? What about diahrrea? Is there sanity after a food addiction?? I know these are (kind've gross) and personal questions...but really...what is life like after the sleeve?

Food Has Always Been There For Me (Nervous)
So glad someone started this topic...The title is exactly how I feel too. My surgery is scheduled for the 26th and I'm nervous. I'd really like to hear from those of you who have had and are now living with the sleeve. What's life like? How do you feel (mentally and physically). Do you have excessive vomiting, diahrrea, gagging? Have you been able to retain your sanity morphing from a co-dependent relationship with food to a new healthy enounter? Please share, advise and respond THANK YOU

Dallas Surgeon
My mom was sleeved on Fri at Forest Park Frisco...All went well. The hospital nurses were amazing...She had a drain that looked a little freaky...But other than that she seems to be recovering well...Getting a little nervous about my turn on the 26th!

Anyone Bought Any Bariatric Meals? How Are They?
My Dr. gave me a flyer for Bariatric Advantage. So far their reps have been very helpful. I like the idea that they have prepackaged items specifically for pre and post op diets...Takes the guess work out of it...

Dallas Surgeon
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I feel better Really grateful for this forum. My main concern is that my may quality of life might not be the same. When you read about the surgery online there's a mix of people who say it's the best thing they've ever done or they're more miserable now then they were before surgery...Dr. Nicholson acts like the surgery is no big deal...but it almost seems "too good to be true".

Can I ask what your life has been like since your surgery?? I'm concerned about the quality of life I'm going to have...(dumping, diahrrea, acid reflux etc) Also, does the surgery leave a scar?
