  5. 1. I will not miss shopping in the women's plus size section. 2. I will not miss being too embarrassed to go to a Water park or swim in front of others. 3. I will not worry whether or not I will fit on the rides with my kids. 4. I will not stress over whether or not I fit comfortably on the planes seats. 5. I will not miss wishing I could do all the things I have wanted to do, but didn't because I was too big. I can't wait to start my new life!
  6. I work at the VA in El Paso, TX Radiology department.
  7. I am a radiology tech, so I can tell you this is more or less how we do the exam. All radiologists perform it a bit differently though. Some take about 16 x-rays with the fluoroscope and I have seen others do about 50. Was this the UGI post surgery? I am curious about it because I now work at the outpatient VA clinic so we don't get any post op bariatric exams.
  8. Hi I am Cyndi, 32 years old and mother of two girls (5,16). I am scheduled for Oct 15 in El Paso TX. I am also scared and excited all at the same time. I lie in bed trying to picture myself thin, but it has been so long I just can't haha. I am really looking forward to this new journey and can't wait to see how we all do. I am at 257 lbs and am 5'7.
  9. My name is Cyndi and I am going to have VSG on October 15. I started my journey wanting to have the lap band, and after going through my 6 months program, the physician informed me he was no longer performing lap band surgery. He recommended I look into the VSG and come back to him in three weeks. I googled as much as I could and happily found this forum and decided that it would be the best option for me. I am excited and of course scared, but after being heavy for so long and trying just about EVERY diet out there I am ready to finally make a change. Now, I just have to control the nerves until my surgery date
