  6. I'm getting surgery on October 4th too! Eeek! Very strange mix of emotions- one minute I'm excited, the next terrified- especially of potential complications. I've found putting on my favourite music to give me that feel good feeling and visualising myself 100lbs lighter reminds me why I'm on this path. We can do this! Xxxx #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012

  12. That's great info to have thanks for your advice. Yes I don't relish prospect of going into the health food shop to buy this - perhaps an online purchase will be best! How are you getting on- what's your story? #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
  13. Hello! There are lots of "max power" "muscle build" type Protein powders but they all seem to be targetted for male body builders and are mostly 100% whey based which I think is again ideal for intake immediately after exercise. I just worried about buying too calorific a protein powder. Some are high protein and also have higher amounts of sugars and carbs.... I just want to find good quality protein that cones recomended post sleeve surgery. I tried to google "unjury" which lots of people have referred to on the main pages but its not available here in UK.... Any suggestions ? #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
  14. Oh my god- that sounds awful. How did they do it too tight? That's terrible. I'm worried about not managing to drink especially when exercising ... I love to glug down Water and think that will obviously become an impossibility. Can they expand the sleeve? How do they do that? Has your weight loss been good? I imagine it will have been given the complications... Wishing you a speedy recovery- thanks for your advice I will take it on board for sure #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
  15. Thanks very much for that- how are you getting on post surgery? What's it been like for you? #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
  16. I'm so amazed there are so many of us now in this thread from all over the world- its amazing to have this support from people in places I will never probably see in my life. My pre op diet starts on 20th September and sleeve date is 4th October. I live in Scotland, Great Britain. 36yrs old mum of 2. Can't wait to be the person I am on the inside.... outside if you know what I mean? Good luck to us all.... We must start the same thread in the post op pages! #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
  17. Hello UK sleevers... In need of some advice and hope you can help..... My surgery date is 4th October and pre op diet starts Thursday 20th Sept. On reading the threads in main pre and post op forum the majority of American sleevers speak of different Protein powders they have but all I can find here is stuff marketed for body builders. From your experience can anyone recommend high quality Protein powder which is palatable and I can buy in UK? Thanks x #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
  18. Hello coops and kermit! Thanks for replying- so good to hear from you both. I have so many questions for you I don't know where to start!! What was the surgery like? The recovery? The pain? How long were you off work? How did the liquid diet go- any recipe ideas!? Are there foods you can't eat now? Does your hunger really go? Or do you mentally still want to eat but just can't? Do you ever eat out anymore? Is reflux a problem now? Have you managed to maintain the weightloss? Did you have these stalls with weightloss that people describe? How did you overcome them? ....and exhale!!! Lots of questions and I'd be really grateful for your reply! Thank you Linda #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
  19. Totally relate to your story, been there too and felt the same as you. I hate sitting in planes ... That moment wondering if the belt will fit. Its so humiliating. Even my daughter is picked on by other kids because of my weight- my husband and kids are slim and healthy weights, but people think its ok to make comment about my weight to her, she is 9 for goodness sakes!?.Unbelievable. I'm sick fed up of people only seeing me as fat, or worse still....... not seeing me at all. Do you know what I mean? It's like you get to a point that your weight means people write you off, you become invisible even though you couldnt be actually any bigger.....they don't see you for the person you are, people are not interested in your views and certainly don't see you as attractive in any sense of the word....Time for a change indeed. Roll on 4th October - sleeve date for me. Good luck to you for your future xxxx #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
