  1. I think it's probably a lot harder on the younger ones. I've has several surgeries and sort if know what ti expect (surgery wise) ....if this is your first experience with being put to sleep, recovery, etc it's scary! The waking up part is just tough. It takes 3 days to start feeling normal! I hate surgery, but it's such a small part if what wonderful things await us!
  2. I can't wait to not have t-shirt titties! You know....when you grab your shirt with your thumb and fore fingers and pull your shirt off your fat rolls leaving nipples in your shirt!
  3. Jack, would you give up eating all you want if it meant your 4 month old could grow up with a daddy? Or NOT go up obese? I can tell by your post what your answer would be!
  4. If you have pcos and niy diabetes yet...you're picking the perfect time to have surgery! I've had diabetes for 15 years it took me about 20 years to developed diabetes from my pcos
  5. I carry a filter bottle of Water with me everywhere I go ...my friends tease me about my "baby" ....they say I didn't keep and eye on my kids like I do my water ....I am not one of those who worries about getting my water in! LOL
  6. My surgeon seemed so indifferent. I got 5 mins with him yesterday and the other 30 or so mins were with 6 people having RNY .... we could ask questions, but I asked only ones that might answer others too!
  7. My bff and i were talking on the phone last night....we're both such foodies ....we were talkin about different restaurants and their special dishes...I sort if panicked! Thinking I could never eat that again! Yes I can! We may just have to share some halibut! LOL
  8. I found out that I cannot have even a sip of water for 36 hours! I have sjogren's syndrome and can't imagine going an hour or two without sipping on something! From midnight before surgery until 7am the day after surgery not one thing goes in the mouth! Anyone else having to do this? I know IV will jeep be hydrated. Buy my mouth and throat are desert like! I have meds that would help....if I could take them! Lol

  11. Yesterday I got my time for surgery....gotta be there at 5:30 am! Whoa!
  12. Here's my solution....Isolate unflavored, Better Than Bullion...heat the broth and add powder. Let sit for about 10 mins for flavors to meld...reheat if necessary
  13. I have ankylosing spondylitis....the soft tissue in my neck and upper back has calcified. My head moves little and doesn't tip up at all to see chords....may have to be awake and done through the nose! !!
  14. And exhausting! Preop starts Monday. ...had meeting with the anesthesiologist...my have to be intubated while I'm awake. Anyone? Sounds scary!

Here's what I don't get....I am no Einstein, but since my degree is in mathematics I do think differently....if they pump your abdomen with gas to make more ruin for surgery ....how the bleep does it get in your digestive tract to be expelled by farting? I've had lap surgery and had little pain with gas settling in shoulders...just had to walk/move for the body to make it disapate
  17. There is a shipping charge....they do have about 6 flavors....I am on my phone right now...and, Shh, driving. I love the isopure unflavored. Well, that sounds weird....just mean it is truely unflavored
