Hope all fellow 18ers are doing well! First day behind me! Last night so miserable the surgery ....I was in a lot of pain, but most of that was body pain from another condition. They're giving less pain meds here than I get at home!

Just wasn't up to posting yesterday ....doing fine...finally had a few sips of water

Medicare of you're over 65 or permanently disabled you get it after 2 years. I am sorry, I had no idea you didn't know what Medicare is...sorry for my ignorance

Mine us tomorrow two, but no breakfast! My surgeron doesn't do the magnesium citrate. ...only bypass patients....he doenst care if the bowels are empty! LOL I am starving!

My surgeon was telling us about alcohol....he was tiptoeing around it and he just stopped and chuckled and said you'll be a cheap drunk! We all laughed but he warned us to but drink much and not for months and try to avoid all carbonation

We have a few fatties in Mississippi , Arkansas , Texas and Louisiana ....we like our food! Especially anything fried or loaded with carbs! We can make anything fattening!

I am clear liquids after midnight! I dread it....jello, popcicles, apple juice, water, extra. . Wonder about the protein clear drinks. I have at least one ...they're nasty!

When did they tell you that? Medicare approved VSG in July 2012. Arkansas, which is in a larger region didn't approve it until Jan, but mine was ready to go as soon as it was approved and I get sleeved Monday! Check again. I can't have the others either....its an nsaid thing....its very common for many to only be able to have this surgery. But Medicare DOES cover this surgery.
