  1. Check again.. insurance companies r changing their minds daily! ! Check in Mexico about the type of staplers used....it will make a difference in not only immediately but long term. You see...I know to much!!! Lol
  2. Why go to another country when we have such excellent surgeons right here??? I don't understand....

  4. B.m. 2nd day, slept in my bed on night 2 but I have a very strenuous job so will not return to work for 4 weeks. PLEASE move!!! That is my best advice. Walk as much as possible, grab some weights while ur @ ur desk & just MOVE....will help make bowels move and help with soreness!! I'm 11 days post op.
  5. I am AMAZED!!!! Surgery was on the 13th of Aug. Went home on the 14th.....went in for my 1 week check-up, today. All is well....in a week I have lost 8 lbs. Pain free, no pain meds for 4 days, have now started pureed food and walking about a mile a day....can't wait for the next step!!!!
  6. My surgery was Monday. Everything went GREAT!!! Came home last night about 5:30...pampering myself, drinking as much as I feel comfortable with, plus popcicles....looking forward to having the next week behind me!!! P.S. no pain meds since early this morning!! Will take before bedtime so I will sleep good!
  7. Checked into hospital...ready to go...
  8. I have 3 granddaughters 13, 12,& 11....I have them for a week every summer. Next year I will be able to go to one of our favorite swimming & fishing places. Not only will I be able to make it down the hill but I' ll never have to worry about climbing back up!!!!! It's those little things that are sssoooo important! !
  9. Well, tomorrow I start my journey to the "Losers Club"....will be glad to getting the next couple of weeks behind me....

  11. I have worked in surgery for over 20 yrs. The doctor @ our hospital has done by passes and bands for 8 yrs but has only been doing sleeves for almost 2 yrs....this is what I've been waiting for! Plus in Jan. `our insurance is covering it like any other surgery! My surgery is scheduled for Aug. 13th...excited but also nervous...I know too much! Pre-op, since Jan. I'm down 24 lbs....I can't wait for my new future!!
