  8. Wow! I dontbthink a size 6 will ever be in my future! A 9, maybe....it's hard to think that way at this point though! @ sweetee... You are definitely doing the right thing! Just don't go into it thinking that you can go back to eating the same way! Also....don't "try" to eat the things you used to! It's a whole new mind set! My new mind set is that I didn't go through the pain of having surgery to start eating the same!

  13. My advice is to keep the word sandwich out of your vocabulary! Learn to love foods with lots of protein! I truly believe that bread is a gateway food! Lol!

  20. Thank you! Have you had surgery?
  21. No!!! I need to lose at least 100 more lbs to be happy. I ended up weighing 425 before surgery! I never in a million years thought I would ever get that big! I have gone from a 32 to a 22! I'm starting to feel like me again! This is me before and ...in progress!
  22. Good luck! You'll do great!!!!
  23. You're right! Oops! It was 2011! Lol! I've lost 135 lbs so far! Best choice I have ever made!
  24. Your stomach is just tender and not used to being so small! I did the same but never actually threw up. Eating slow like your doing is the way to go. After about a couple of months, the nausea will subside. However, if I have sinus issues, sometimes m food intake will change again because I'm more nauseas. I think what you're experiencing is pretty normal.
  25. Also...interestingly enough, my md did not make me go on a liquid diet first! I actually ate Mexican food the vending before surgery! I think that he is the only doctor that I've known that doesn't follow that protocol! Anyway...for me, my appetiite has totally changed! I used to love bread and now I'll take a bite and I'm satisfied! I have now lost 135 lbs since 12/19/11. The crazy thing is that because I got my mind prepared, it hasn't been difficult at all!
  26. Congratulations! You've made a great choice! I, like you, weighed 400 lbs! In fact...i actually got up to 425! I am so happy that I made this choice! Be compliant!
  27. After struggling and yoyo dieting for years, I finally decided to get the sleeve. I thoroughly researched the surgery and my surgeon before doing it and I am SO glad I did! I can't believe the energy I have now! I think getting your mind prepared is most important! I think that if I wouldn't have made sure that I really committed to changing my lifestyle, I wouldn't have been so successful so far! For those of you that decide on this surgery, you must be compliant or you just won't see the results! Rule of thumb...don't try to eat bad foods. Just assume you can't and DON'T!
