  1. I everyone, I'm having my sleeve on Thursday with Dr. F. Garcia. I want to make sure I tip the driver and others appropriately. It's been awhile since I travelled to MX, so want to see what others tipped, on average? Thanks! I'm getting sooo excited!!!!
  2. I weaned myself off regular coffee and am now doing decaf so I won't have a rebound headache when I can't have it anymore. I find that I actually feel better throughout the day when I don't have caffeine in the morning...shocker!!
  3. I'm scheduled for the 24th with Dr Fernando Garcia in TJ. Starting to get really nervous!!!
  4. I've been obese since I had my youngest kid 23 yrs ago. I have always carried my weight well and others tell me I exude confidence, but inside I have all the body shame and critical self talk. I'm so sick of the constant struggle with food and the shame cycle when I indulge. I've done a lot of work on this in therapy and processed the pros cons of surgery. On top of the mental stuff, There's the physical. I'm tired of my back, knees and feet hurting. I have high cholesterol and all the women on my family have developed diabetes by age 50. I can't do the active things I enjoy as easily when lugging around 75-80 extra lbs. I've developed a bit of a waddle. I can't wait to wear cute clothes and have curves vs rolls and lumps. The list goes on...
  5. It could also be your gallbladder, which sometimes causes pain under shoulder blade and up the neck. You need to get it checked out, for sure.
  6. Hi y'all! I'm trying to get my ducks in a row for surgery in TJ with Dr. Garcia, and am hoping to have it done either October 25th or 26th. I need to confirm dates with Alma, but it looks like that is the best window of time to take a few weeks off work. The hubby said he would go when I first decided to have surgery, but is now being a bit of an a**hat and so it looks like I'll be going solo. Would sure like to meet some sleeve buddies to share this journey with me! :-)
