Surgery 9/18. Preop weight 175. Weight today. 152.8. Loss is becoming slower over last 6 days....but all is good!

So happy this question came up. I am 3 weeks out and my family all chuckles when my orchestra starts up!! It still surprises me!!! Phew...I am normal!!!

I am 4'11". Vertically challenged so I needed the vertical sleeve! Highest was 188. Preop was 175. Surgery was sept 18 and yesterday weigh in was 152.2. I'll take that!!

I am Kristen from RI Just got home yesterday from sleeve surgery on tues the 18th. I saw Dr Pohls associate, Dr Giovanni. Overall, doing well. Tired and slight sore. But I had 2 c-sections and this was much easier. Just getting used to the new lifestyle of drinking shakes, and not much chewing at this time. But all is looking up !!

I was sleeved two days ago..heading home in a few minutes. You will do great! Keep in mind all the positive posts and wonderful support you have here from all of us ! We have you in our prayers. You can do this!!! Best wishes!

.......ON the losers bench. I want to let you know that I read positive posts up until the time they wheeled me in!! And it helped calm me! For all of you waiting.-- Yes the anxiety is there. Try and find some calmness. I can tell you not toooo bad. Agree that the gas in my shoulders is not where I expected it from! I was up and off that stretcher( slight ache, no pain!) before they put me in a room. And it helped with the gas a bunch!! Good luck all you September 19 and 20. You will be fine !!!

I am ready ! Bring this on! Prayed for all of us sleevers today! May God watch over us and guide all of our surgeons and nurses hands as they help with getting us to better health !!

Beautiful time for all of us to pave a new road to health. I wish it wasn't so quiet here today- that might be adding to my anxiety! Husband working, kids in school - My day off- just keeping busy with little tasks. We can do this!

Hello. I am pretty new here also.... I am 41year old wife & mom of 2 daughters and just got approval yesterday. No date scheduled yet. I feel the same .....so excited but nervous toooo ! i agree that keeping your health business somewhat quiet isnt a bad idea. I have confided in a few friends and have gotten mixed responses for certain. Best wishes ! Keep the faith it will be sooooo worth it!!!

Yesterday would have been my mom's 65 birthday--- she passed almost 5 years ago from ovarian cancer. I promised her the month before her passing that i would get healthier. Although much time has passed, and every diet tried since then......yesterday the Drs office called and said I was approved! Now waiting for the next step and hopefully a surgery date !! Feel like mom sent me a small gift on her day !!!

This is my first night on the site and your thread was the first I read. Best wishes as you move ahead into this new chapter! I am hoping to start a new chapter soon myself!!
