I am 4 weeks out and am scared to be somewhere without a bathroom in sight. I am currently on soft foods. yet everytime i eat, 10-20 minutes later I get cramps and have to run to the bathroom with diarreah. I'm okay after the fact but it hurts and is keeping me at home. Any advice?

Hi, I had my surgery 07/25 so 1 week post -op today. For the most part I am doing ok but my sleeve keeps growling and making crazy sounds. When it does that it hurts? also hurts a whole lot when I try to drink my flids and Protein. How long does this last? will it get worst as I am allowed to move up in stages of what i can eat? Thanks for the support!

Ok so everything seems to be going good. but OH my Gosh!!!GAS PAIN,,,... and they say walking is the only thing that will help. but everytime 'i finish walking it hurts 10 times as much. Anything else I can try?

OH NO!!!!! Surgery on Wednesday and I started mine today!

WOOT WOOT! We have the same date!!! Congrats! cant wait. It's all I can think of. I am so jealous, I have to do the 2 week pre op liquid diet. this is horrible. I hope I make it... Trying to stay busy, but really hard when you still have to cook for the rest of the family. ugh!

Congrats!!! I am also scheduled for surgery on the 25th!!! Can't wait. Scared but mostly excited to start my journey after my sleeve!

Where are you ladies having your surgery?

2 weeks liquid protein diet. Today is day 1. 5 Atkins daily advantage shakes, SF jello, SF tea and water. Tummy is a mess. between all the nerves and now only liquid.Hope these two weeks fly by.

My date is July 25th.... your right before me! I feel the same way... I'm a bunch of nerves.

I am in the same boat. Surgery is scheduled for July 25th. Started pre-op diet today but my tummy has been in bunches since I got my date. Nerves are running wild and sending me to the restroom. trying to just think about all the things I will be able to do after and it helps. Good luck! Your not alone!

Thanks Texarkolina, I was worried it was just me and that something was wrong. I am a bunch of nerves and starting my liquid diet tomorrow, I'm sure will only make it worst. I am sure the time will fly by and cant wait for the benefits.

I am two weeks away from my surgery date and have a sour stomach and diarrhea. Is this just happening because I'm nervous or could something be wrong? Has anyone else had tummy issues leading up to the surgery?
