I'm sorry to hear that. It sucks when things are in someone elses hands and they aren't handing it off appropiately. Have you checked to see if there's someone else at the doctor's office handing the case files while she's out?

I haven't been sleeved yet but what you've described actually sounds like gas. Gas in the stomach makes that roaring growling sound. As for the bowel movement, I would talk to your doctor about taking cololite or something to help you BM.

I'm scheduled for the 27th too! Yay! I start my liquid diet first thing in the am. What flavor of the Bariatric Advantage did you get? I picked Banana since I'm allowed to add fresh fruit to the shakes.

July 27th!

I've been scheduled for surgery (YAY!) and now I'm wondering how much time, if any, should I take off from work? I work from home part time and my desk is literally next to my bed. My VSG date is July 27th, which is one of my off days. I'm off that Friday and Saturday. But I have to work on Sunday for 8 hrs answering phones. Then I go back to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for 4 hours each day. Anybody have any ideas as to how much time I should take off? Or should I be okay literally rolling out of bed into my chair? LOL

good tips guys! thanks so much! i'm thinking it might be best for me to ask for a week. i had to do it since it's parttime so my check is going to be super small. but one thing i don't want to do is rush it and be upset with myself.
