  1. I had Lap Band Revision Surgery on April 9, 2007 and went from the 4cc Lap to the New 10cc Lap Band. Has anyone here had there Lap Bands changed, if so do they feel a difference from the 4cc to 10cc Lap Band. Also, would like to know if this new 10cc Lap Band works differently. Thank you, Jill Pre-op Weight = 205 Current Weight = 191 (4/17/07)
  2. I went to see my surgeon today because I have been having a lot of pain in my esophagus and it was cause by the band being too tight. My esophagus is all swollen now. My doctor took all the saline out of the band and has me on a liquid diet for 4 weeks. Has this happend to anyone else, where they needed to get unfilled and go on a liquid diet? I'm really nervous about being on a liquid diet with no restriction. Thank you, Jill
  3. I was just wondering, does anyone follow the Weight Watchers program or any other program after getting banded? I've been banded for 2 years now, and was sucessfully in the beginning and started gaining weight back because I wasn't following any of the band's rules. Now I am starting over and would don't know where to begin with eating. All suggestions welcome.
  4. I am 36 years old, been struggling with my weight for 10 years. I lose weight but never seem to keep it off. 235 lbs was my highest weight ever and let me tell you that I suffered at that weight. I wheezed, my sciata nerve hurt so bad I couldn't walk, I had constant heartburn, etc. I was miserable, I even became socially isolated. The LapBand surgery at this time was my only hope for being able to lose the weight and permentaley keep it off. I live in Brooklyn, NY and Dr. Macura did my surgery. I've had no problems since my surgery, no vomiting. I go for my first fill November 13. I'm anxious for it. I'm anxious for these 6 weeks to be finished so I can move on to regular everyday foods without pureeing.
  5. Hello, I was banded on October 4, 2004 and I'm up to the Mushy food stage and would like some ideas of what others ate during this phase. Thank you, Jill 235/217/140
