Hey Lindaa!!! Happy Early Birthday!!! Sounds like you have a great evening planned. I will be going out of town and staying at a hotel (a Hilton Garden Inn for $39! - My employee discount.) w/my friend. He's gonna take me out for dinner and then we'll probably catch a movie, too. I'm not exactly sure what he has planned. We'll see. I'm sure it'll be fun no matter what.

Guess who has a birthday on Friday, 10/26?? Me! I will be 29. Aside from just wanting to get rid of this sickness, I don't want to be sick on my b-day! Everyone pray that it goes away soon!!! I want to have a fun-filled b-day.

Hello everyone! I've missed ya'll! Looks like everyone is doing well. I have been super busy w/the 2 jobs. I can't wait until I give this 2nd one up. It should be some time soon. I just wanted to build up a nice emergency fund. This 2nd job is wearing me out! Can ya'll believe I'm sick, A-G-A-I-N?!?! :angry Sinus and ear infection. I get better for a couple of days and wham. It comes back. It's b/c I'm not getting enough rest to truly kick it. So I'm back on antibiotics. I've really gotta get rid of this other job! I'm gonna go back and read over what I've missed.

I originally posted this on the other Christian Bandster thread, but it seems to have died off... Hey ya'll! I am excited to see this thread. I love the Lord w/all my heart. I know that we can all be a great source of support and encouragement for one another. This site alone has been absolutely wonderful... For those who have felt a little guilty about the Band, let me just say this...don't. It kinda reminds me of those who deal w/mental illness and take medication and/or get therapy. Some well-intentioned Christians make you feel like your faith is lacking, or you're not trusting in the Lord enough, etc...like you're taking the 'easy' way out. There is nothing wrong w/using medical technology/advances to better your health. You are taking care of the temple (1 COR 3:16; 1 COR 6:19). Sure, I believe God still does heal today, but healing comes in different forms. Sometimes it's supernaturally and immediately. Other times, it comes through medicine or surgery. Sometimes, it comes naturally through time and the body's own healing process. Just a few thoughts.

Jackie, How long is this deal for??? I know I just went on their website and the deal is still good. (My b-day is on the 26th and I've asked for this as a gift.) I told my friend if he wasn't going to get it for me, I needed to know b/c I can't pass this deal up!!! Thanks for the info!

Wed, 10/10 - 30 mins, treadmill, 1.8 miles Hey ya'll! I've missed you. I was off yesterday, so I made sure I hit the gym. I felt wonderful! Oh how I've missed my exercise! I have a job interview today, so I may get to cut back on these crazy hours I've been working...then I'll get back to my regular exercise routine.

Hey everyone. How's it going? Just wanted to pop in and say hello. All is going well on my end. I am finally kicking the bout of infections! I have a couple days of antibiotics left and it should be a done deal. YAY!

Ribearty, Yeah, I certainly don't miss soda. It didn't taste right at all. About the carbonation buildup, that's what mine said, too...no straws here, either. It didn't hurt, but I only took a couple of small sips to see what would happen...so maybe it does hurt, but I didn't drink enough...I won't be experimenting anymore, though.

Just say no!!! No to the soda. Don't do it! No, no, no!!! We have beaten this demon to the ground. We can't let him get back up. Soda is liquid candy...full of EMPTY calories and sugar. I feel bad now...like I shouldn't have said anything! LOL. I only did it to experiment and see what all the fuss was about.

You know, you're not the only one. I have been testing my band, too. You know how we're not s'posed to have carbonated drinks??? Well, I wanted to see why. Everyone says it hurts, so I wanted to see. Well, it didn't hurt. Now, I didn't like the soda, b/c I don't care for the taste anymore, but I didn't have any pain or anything. Just remember...e'thing in moderation. At least you've recognized where you've gone astray. It's okay. We can just reign ourselves back in and it's all good!!!

Maybe you caught it from me through the computer! I've been MIA b/c I've been sick. I hope to join ya'll again real soon! I want to do the couch to 5K program. I miss ya'll!

Chris, I'm sorry for your loss. I know this is a tough time for you and your family. It seems that you have been weathering the storm well, though. Keep it up making the good choices!!! And yes, I FINALLY got my first fill. 2ccs and I definitely have restriction. I've had a few things get stuck. Not a good feeling at all. Anyhow, I'm doing well, aside from these stupid infections. Congratulations again on your victory!!!

Hey Gang! Wow there's a lot of us on tonight. I love it! Sorry I've been MIA, but I've been sick as a dog...like ER sick. Have a few (yes, a few) infections raging...sinus, ear, and down below...thanks to antibiotics. Anyhow. I was prescribed some antibiotics that made me VIOLENTLY ill. I was throwing up for an hour. I had to go to the ER to get the vomiting under control. It was bad. They got it under control and gave me IV fluids and then ordered a CT scan of my stomach. It came back okay. They changed my antibiotic and I was fine. But, the infections still rage on. So, I had to go back to the docs again. I just got another antibiotic, which I started today. So far, no nausea, so it's all good. Hopefully this round of antibiotics will do it. I see everyone's doing so well! Lynette, congrats on getting to Onederland!!! That is so awesome! I'm gonna go back and read the rest of the posts b/c I need to catch up.
