Found it! I knew someone asked me about when I was starting Couch to 5K. It was WannaBFatFree! I started today. Sooooo proud of myself. So super proud! How about you? How's it going?

I started the Couch to 5K program today. I was so proud of myself this morning! I was actually running (well, slowly, but still...)!!! :rolleyes2: I'm sorry I can't remember who asked me a few days back, but it's going well so far. I'm sure it'll get a bit more challenging, but so far, so good.

I know how family can be sometimes...and it ain't always pretty. Vent w/us anytime you want! We're here for you. Salsa, congrats on the running! That is a huge accomplishment. I started this morning! YAY!!! I did very well, actually. I was so proud of myself! :rolleyes2: I couldn't believe it. I made up my mind this weekend that I was gonna do it. I was so excited last night about this morning. I can't wait until Thursday to do it again. I can tell I did more than just walk. My knee is a little sore, but nothing major at all. I am so psyched!!!

AWESOME! Congratulations. That is a huge accomplishment...we know the holidays are ROUGH! food and Snacks galore...

2BeMeAgain, I understand your fear. Once you have very obvious restriction, it is a different feeling. I'm praying for you during this time. I've learned that it's all a journey w/this band. We're learning a whole new way of life...all the different phases, what to eat, how to eat, how fills affect us, etc. Just wait it out a few days and see what happens. The swelling will most likely go down and then you'll be okay. If not, just go back to your doc and get a slight unfill. I just had to do that this weekend. I was too tight and getting heartburn from it. But all is well now. You'll be okay. :rolleyes2: Keep us posted!

You are too funny! I have my own personal treadmill, too, and I get annoyed when someone else is on it. :tt1: I mean, don't they know??? LOL. I want to try the elliptical, but I'm a little scared. Guess I'll try it tomorrow...:rolleyes2:

I'll have to keep ya'll posted...I think I need to start toning up...I'm not saggy, but I want some shape and definition...guess I may need to see a personal trainer, but the $$ not there for that right now. I'll figure s'thing out.

I just ignore them (and pray for them) as much as possible. Sometimes we have to pick and choose our battles. And most of the time, I choose to just ignore a lot of the foolishness aimed at Christianity. We know that they hated Christ, soooo...what can we expect? But it's all good. And we'll just continue to support and encourage one another...and pray for those who come against us, right? :rolleyes2:

I was feeling so down, but reading your posts have certainly helped pick me up. :tongue: I know God won't leave me hanging out here like this. I know He won't. I know that it will be okay b/c He ALWAYS comes through. This situation is just a bit scary for me b/c I've never had to deal w/this type of problem. Anyhow...despite everything, I will trust in the Lord. As for that husband, I will continue to wait patiently...even if it kills me! HAHAHA! But I know He will send Mr. Right along in His timing. I agree. Everyone should check w/his/her doc. I just remember learning that in my pre-op 'classes'. So I had to get rid of all of my Aleve and replace it w/Tylenol.

Just want to say that I love LBT and I love this thread. I used to be a very regular poster, but life has definitely happened and I haven't been on much lately... I want to ask that everyone just pray for my financial situation right now. I have been having a hard time here lately...and I'm not used to this. I'm single and very independent (but would absolutely LOVE to get married) and used to taking care of everything. A series of unfortunate events has set me back and I'm having a hard time getting back on track. Please pray for guidance and wisdom and a way out of this mess. I thank all of you in advance!!!!! I know our God is faithful and He won't leave me or forsake me...I'm just so discouraged right now!

Don't forget...we're not s'posed to take Naproxen or any other NSAID...they say it may be bad for our band. We're s'posed to take stuff like Tylenol...just wanted to remind everyone.

Hello! How's everyone? I've been doing really well. I've lost another 12lbs this past month for a grand total of 44lbs lost! I'm down from 289 to 244...YAY!!! I will be posting pics soon. I have to take a current photo. I'm going back to catch up on other postings. I miss ya'll!!!

I did! I had my surgery July 25, 2007. It was great! I didn't/haven't had any complications. I, too, spent the night at the hospital. I think this is a very wise decision. Given that you've just had major surgery, a night in the hospital gives you peace of mind. I had my surgery on a Wednesday and was back to work Monday. I have a desk job, so it wasn't a big deal. I recovered very quickly. I walked A LOT, so that really helped. No, I didn't have to a do a pre-op diet. Just the usual - the night before surgery no eating after midnight. Dr. Halmi's/Tran's staff was great, too! They are definitely on top of things.

I love Big Medicine! Can't wait to see this season! Dini, you look fabulous!!! Good for you!!! All, I've missed you so much. Everyone seems to be doing great! I have another doctor's appt this month, so we'll see what my grand total is. Last time, I had lost 41lbs! YAY!!! I LOVE MY BAND!!!

Good morning, ya'll! I'm here at work this Christmas Eve, but it's okay. It's pretty quiet and not much going on. I have a bit of shopping left to do, but I just need a few gift cards, so nothing major. Kathybad, I'm sorry about your dad. I am praying for you and your family. I love your idea of a simple Christmas. Just love on your family and enjoy your blessings. Everything will be okay! I've been painting my living room...purple! It's beautiful. My dining room is green. My kitchen has the grapes/wine theme, so the purple and green go along w/that. I'm doing a faux finish in the living room. The base color is a light purple and I have a darker purple as the color wash on top. I love it. I have to finish it, though. I have one wall left. Brandy, yep. Everything in moderation. I've been having some sweets this season, but I haven't been overdoing it. I'm so proud of myself. I've really learned to eat until I'm satisfied. Go Indio! Look at that control. Only a couple cookies! You gotta love it, right???
