I am still pre-op for my WLS, but had one when I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago. It worked well-- never had any pain or problems.

I'm close to you. I'm in Cape Girardeau MO. I've started the process with a doc in St Loius, and I really like him. But I would be self pay. My insurance is starting coverage next year, but only at the hospital I work at. I'm going to schedule an appt with the local doc, then make my decision.

No problems with the EGD. I remember them putting something in my mouth to hold it open. The next thing I was waking up! Went to eat breakfast and went shopping later with my sister and a friend!

Hi Lisa..I am in Cape Girardeau, also. Just starting he process; went to a seminar by Dr Snow (with Dr Wagner) two weeks ago. I too will be self pay. Have you ever gone to the support group at Healthpoint?
