  1. I try to read all the posts but do miss some sometimes. Hurray for you on the sucess! 30 pounds away?? SOOOO jealous!!! Congrats.
  2. NGM, wow! That does sound like a battle. I hate when that happens. It sounds like you won though!!! Good job on that!
  3. Congrats!! What an awesome accomplishment. I can not wait to get into regular sizes.
  4. Me too, MOM!! I have been so worried that I am not going to lose any more. People keep asking "how much have you lost"? When my response doesnt change I feel like I am doing something wrong. I know I have to hit the gym here soon.
  5. Sorry, to clarify I was asking how far out she was from the surgery not pregnancy! And to add, since you are only 2 weeks pregnant, maybe you will be lucky and not have morning sickness at all? I did not have it hardly at all with both my children. Just a tiny bit on a few occassions.
  6. I was 2 weeks post op and was allowed pureed soup only as well as my shakes. At 4 weeks I started the soft diet ie. eggs, chicken salad, egg salad, cottage cheese, etc. Hope that helps.
  7. Hi Jessica! I am 7 weeks out today as well. I hit a BIG stall for 3 weeks. Then last week I lost 2 pounds. I feel sooo frustrated sometimes too but if you look at your weight loss history, you are down 63 pounds!!! AWESOME. That is more than me who is down 33 pounds. I rarely eat 1200 calories but I have found the best thing for me is to snack on healthy meals all day. I have my protein shake every morning, I eat edamame, string cheese, hard boiled eggs, nuts (total slider food so I am careful) peeled apples. I TRY to stay away from bread and carbs. I still eat a bite or 2 but that is it. You will stall sometimes but you seem to be doing exceptionally well. I know we want if off NOW but be patient it will happen.
  8. You poor thing! Have you talked to your Dr. about this? Your surgeon as well as your OB? I think they are going to be the best to take advice from. So you are 6 months out? You should be able to get enough in to where it would be adequate nutrition for both you and baby. Maybe more frequent smaller meals and add the protein shakes in again. Morning sickness is temporary for most people. This is one of those topics where it is such a touchy subject where someone always gets upset. I am only saying what I would do. I would deal with the morning sickness and feel like crap and be miserable for a short time for my baby. I would just talk to your Dr's to see what can be done to make you feel better. ((Hugs))
  9. I personally think you should try talking to your Dr. first to see what can be done for antinausea meds or IV fluids. That is a very big decision that may impact your life. There may be a way to feel better AND have your little one. Just my 2 cents! Good Luck!
  10. Could you have developed a hiatal hernia?? I have that only of I drink and eat. Hard to break that habit.
  11. Momofthings- Do you remember being able to eat 3 peices of pizza?? I certainly do!! And WITH Hot wings, lol Suepeeps- I am proud of you! I hate my body too much to share with everyone still even though we should love the change going on. Maybe I will add pics when I am down a few more pounds.
  12. NewGrandmother! You are definitely NOT invisable!! I am watching you like a weird stalker!! Its because of you that this post continues, and I am so thankful for it. Bukki! -AWESOME!!! I too have been pulling out the old clothes. I will NOT be keeping those old clothes either.
  13. Justine- I do the same thing. I am guilty of taking a couple of bites and being full, and then taking a couple of more because I think "this can not be the end of my meal"!! I feel terrible after eating too much and sometimes have to purge because I am so sick. I am getting better trying not to do that to myself. It definitely is a learning curve for me too.
  14. I use Premier Protein Shakes. I know you can get them online but they only deliver to Canada and USA. You can try to order from Amazon but I am not sure if they have it. There are seveeral out there, you just want to make sure that they are low carb as well as full of the Daily Nutrition you need. I was told to drink 4 of those a day. ( I only drank 3 and took a chewable vitamin). I am not sure what you have available but I would check the label. Oh and make sure you drink LOTS of water or you can get dehydrated.
  15. Well make sure the shakes have adequate nutrition! You can lose the weight but I am not going to lie, it takes work and a committment from you. It is so easy to keep the bad habits. Snacking, eating too many carbs etc. You really have to focus on your protein and walk as much as possible. BUT you CAN absolutely do it if you want it. You will eat a lot less but if you snack and eat the wrong things then it will not work.
  16. Congrats on your surgery. My first week Post Op cosisted of broth and clear liquids only. 2nd week was protein shakes and clear broths etc. I am down 30 poubds 6 weeks post op. Good luck to you.
  17. I am noticing extra hair loss as well. I was sleeved 9/24. I am trying not to be overly paranoid but I swear my hair is thinner and I can see my scalp more. I was told the protein helps. Every doctor is different so I dont know what really helps.
  18. Premier shakes for me as well. I get i box of Chocolate and 1 of Vanilla. I alternate so I dont get sick of them. I get mine at Costco.
  19. Thanks for the tips. Did you have many stalls? I am almost 6 weeks out down 23 pounds and have been here for 2 weeks. What did you do to break the stalls if you had them??
  20. Pinto beans (not refried) with cheese and salsa. I also steam veggies with parmesean and Mozz. cheese. 1 lean meatball with marinara sauce. I make pot pies for the family from scratch and take the insides about 1/4 cup. It has veggies and chicken.Plus all the other items that were mentioned.
  21. Wow! You look great. You looked beautiful before though!! Do you work out every day? What did your diet consist of??
  22. NPM518- I DEFINITELY relate to this. I throw up all the time. The bottom line is I over eat still. I am still learning that I do not need to eat a whole plate to be full. the PP is correct. SMALL amounts and chew chew chew. I find when I take only a couple of tablespoons and savor that I have no problem. But when I eat fast and like I did before the surgery, I throw up. I also feel bulimic but I am trying to change the way I eat. Some things go down better than others. The more solid foods I eat, I tend to get sick. MOMOFTHINGAND2-Love your screen name. Thank you for the response, I am going to try to force the water in. I have been lacking in that department for sure.
  23. LOL, I was so there not long ago. I seriously had to go for a walk. I walked away from the situation. 4 days does a lot of healing in that time. Just remember how you felt on day 1 and then day 4 after surgery. Just be strong, you will make it. You will be eating real food soon enough!!
  24. WOW, a size 8???? That is awesome. I would be dancing too, girl! Congrats.I can not wait to get into an 18, LOL
