  1. Thank you.. such a great feeling to get on the scale and finally see it go down and feel like I'm really achieving instead of being a disappointment.
  2. Finally hit 20 pounds. I'm so happy. See my surgeon today spool curious to see what his scale says. 9 days post- op I just can't believe it.
  3. tomorrow i go to see my surgeon.. its been 8 days today since i was sleeved and im 18 pounds down.. still just doing liquids did move on to a fuller liquid soup wise like cream of broccoli watered down with skim milk. i did try some coffee today with skim milk.. almost a waste because i couldnt even drink the whole 8oz without just being done with it.. thats basically how i feel about soup or anything..i have alittle and im just done with it.. im nervous about moving into mushy foods etc.. i wanna still see the weightloss and im now terrified if i move on i wont see it.. anyone else ever feel this way??
  4. im 8 days out today also...and noticed im able to drink alot faster..but i do try and slow down.. still cant eat that much soup maybe about 1/4 to 1/2 cup and then im too full and im done. as far as Protein im still using the Isopure clear protein..i bought it so i gotta use it.. 40 grams of protein in one bottle but that take me 2 days to drink..
  5. Im 8 days out...and first few days are torture in my opinion..I used gas x strips often and helped out SOOOOO much with the gas pains.. I also used a micowaved heating pad..( aka the bed buddy) all this and the pain meds helped.. Each day will get better, I wanna say it was about the 5th day I left like i was gonna be ok. 6th day i was out shopping and drove myself. i stayed inside and rested the whole 5 days which helped out. just know its gonna get better
  6. You will be ok.. I cried as soon as I hit the surgical floor. Then next thing I knew in recovery.. try and get some sleep and all will be well You will be ok.. I cried as soon as I hit the surgical floor. Then next thing I knew in recovery.. try and get some sleep and all will be well
  7. I'm doing well.. rough in beginning .. but after a wk I'm down 16 pounds..
  8. I get these also.. from some people I've talked to it seems to diminish with time. Or comes less and less. Just give it time. I take gas x strips to deal with it. Especially take one before I have any broth or soup
  9. Same here. Totally regretted it due to the pain. IV fluids definitely seem to have people gain some water weight. Chin up and you have lost.. even if its then IV fluid. You still lost!
  10. See my surgeon on Thursday and plan on asking him
  11. Just got a box yesterday in chocolate. I used optimum nutrition ( which is a powder ) before ..great source of protein. But as for a pr-mixed protein muscle milk is one of the best tasting in my opinion. Its also comes in a powder
  12. 7 days ago I was only a mere 30 mins away from being sleeved. I was so nervous .. even cried the minute I hit the surgical floor. First few days were rough gas pains..soreness, cried those days too. Then this morning during my daily ritual lately I went on the scale and also 3 more pounds gone... 16 pounds total. Again I know it isn't much or might not show it but its gone.. and I'm happy. I'm happy I made this decision, and I can't wait until I get to my goal
  13. No driving restrictions here .. all I was told was not while on pain meds ( which is rule of thumb at anytime ). And as along as I was up to it
  14. Yea its crazy how much liquid your excepted to get it. I still can't. Its crazy how much I use to be able to gulp down before and now its so different Yea its crazy how much liquid your excepted to get it. I still can't. Its crazy how much I use to be able to gulp down before and now its so different
  15. Its weight I had and now its gone. Important thing I'm down 11 pounds. I'm 11 pounds lighter then I was before
  16. Thanks all... I'm just happy to see the scale go in the opposite direction. Might sound silly but even my jewelry is fitting differently. Yay!!
  17. I'm taking each pound going down as some accomplishment .. thanks all
  18. What are the key things I should be looking for in the best protein to keep losing weight??? I don't want to screw this up like other diets
  19. Thanks everyone. Is this really gonna happen every morning?
  20. Sleeved on the 13th. Gas pains I treat with gas x. Abdomen soreness/ pain I'm just trying to take my pain Meds more regularly with more movement I'm doing which seems to help. Heating pad/ bed buddy is my best friend.
  21. I'm 5 days post op and I'm a total of 11 pounds down. I know its probably all water weight since I went from eating to now all liquids. Even changed batteries in my scale because I didnt believe it.
