    Nausea After Eating - 1 Week Post-Op

I was the same way a couple weeks post-op. I was so excited to eat scrambled eggs & they just didn't sit right in my stomach. I still struggle with them 3 months post-op.

    Vitamin D Deficiency

Vitamin D defiency is very common, so I doubt it

    Lets Talk Cup Sizes

Getting ready to lose most of them. They are all fat. So they are one of the first to go. I barely anything left after large for years. Yes, I am mourning them, but I'm OK with them being gone so I can be thin again
  4. I was sleeved January 31, 2012 and eat what I want, all in moderation. I too only take a couple bites sometimes or eat just a tangerine and some nuts in a 8 hour period. I can gain 3 pounds, but then I drop that and more in a week. I worked out for a year before surgery and this helped build muscle and increase my metabolism and I work out now. I figure I am going to have trouble in awhile, but for me the band restriction has worked great for me And I quit cigarettes after 30 years of smoking for this operation, can't booze it up anymore and no longer can binge. That has helped tremendously. I am being very careful not to stretch my sleeve & stop eating after a couple bites, wait a long time and only take a couple more bites if I'm still hungry. And, YES I do feel hungry sometimes. I think that's because I'm stil not getting enough protein in the morning. Overall, this surgery has been life changing and I LOVE it!

    I Had My Surgery But

I weigh myself every Monday. That way I don't obsess about the fluctuations in weight.
  6. I've thrown up quite a bit. It's about getting to know your sleeve I think. I just try again in a few minutes. Then, I start to worry about developing bulimia. But, I'm more worried about getting the necessary amount of protein. I eat a smaller amount and then usually don't have to throw up & eat again

    Im A Worrier :-(

I had chills for a couple weeks. I think it was from the drastic weight loss & lack of calories. It goes away.

    Im Hungry! !

I liked getting Pho broth from the local Vietnamese restaurant. Also, egg drop soup from Chinese is an idea. I also blended a couple Miso soups from the sushi place looked gross but tasted great!

    Salad

I have eaten a salad a week since 3 weeks post op. My salad consists of Mixed Greens, Spinach, Sunflower Seeds, Almonds, Hard Boiled Egg Whites, Fresh Shrimp & Balsamic Vinegar & Ranch mixed dressing. I asked my surgeon at 5 week post-op appointment if I could eat salads. He said yes.

    Salad!

I've eaten a salad a week since 3 weeks post op. It contains sunflower seeds, almonds, shrimp, egg whites and mix of lettuce & spinach & had no troubles at all. I asked my surgeon at my 5 week post op appointment Monday if was o.k. to eat salad. He said abolutely & didn't stress any special conditions. I told him I've eaten steak (my body was craving the iron & protein as I couldn't get vitamins down at all), Now it's soft & finely chewed & if it can't be finely chewed I spit it out, he said fine. As we know every surgeon and everyone of us is different. So far (thankful for this) I am not lactose intolerent, and water with lemon tastes like heaven to me (not much a water drinker- pre-op) - When did you guys find out you were lactose intolerant and/or found water tasted horrible? I've heard a lot of people get this way.
  11. I don't regret it. I sure did the first couple nights after surgery because of the pain of just swallowing a sip of water. My surgery was 1/31/12, and I am just starting to feel back to normal. I've been back to work for 2 1/2 weeks. The first 2 weeks back, I was exhausted & needed to sleep 10-12 hours a night to get back to work the next day. I love how i only have to eat a couple bites of something & then I am full. I've saved a lot of money from not buying as much food or cigarettes (I gave them up after 30 yrs for this surgery).

    Doing The Surgery Alone?

I took a cab there, but I think they insist you have someone pick you up.

    Nausea With Vitamins

I am having a very hard time getting any vitamins or anything down. My body doesn't like the Flinstones Chewable. I'm 5 weeks post-op and am beginning to feel the fatigue from not getting enough vitamins or protein.I love the weightloss, but the constant fatigue is getting to me. I am going to GNC this weekend to see what I can find, like liquid vitamins I just keep hoping it's going to get better. I have my f/u appointment with surgeon Monday, so I will ask. I have come to depend on Jamba Juice to get some whey protein down (no seeds).
  14. I was beginning to wonder. I have 3 weeks post-op & am shivering all the time. Thought it might be due to the loss of calories.
  15. Hi, I am almost 3 weeks post-op & am wondering how I will know if I have a blockage or leak? I was following a thread of a young lady who ate some of the forbidden food. I too resorted to eating some things I shouldn't have b/c I cannot tolerate the protein drinks anymore. I throw up quite often & especially in the evening time. I'm getting worried b/c I can't get all my proteins in. Today I've had a Greek yogurt with a cup of coffee for breakfast, an egg for lunch & am hoping to eat some soft fish for dinner. I don't want to end up in the hospital with complications nor ruin what I've wanted for so long. Any suggestions? Any info that might help me? Thanks so much! Susan

How Do You Know If You Have A Blockage?

I have been trying to drink V8 and I have been drinking the Zero Calorie Vitamin Waters. My paperwork says coffee is o.k.with non-fat milk, but it makes since that it would cause reflux, etc. I only tried Isopure in the hospital in the hospital, but when I called my local GNC they said they were selling them for $4-5 a bottle. That's to high for me.

Hi , I Am Home And Feeling Great!

Hello, I'm new here, but glad to find this site & read through people's experiences. I just got my sleeve on January 31, 2012 and have already lost 7lbs. I am struggling to get enough protein in my diet & usually end up eating only 2 meals a day. I have one more week of liquids & am looking forward to eating 'real" food, rather than just protein drinks. I am getting so I can't choke down the protein drinks anymore (before the surgery I would just drink them fast so I couldn't taste them as much, blech). Any suggestions?
