  1. Hey Ladies!! Thank you all so much for your advice! A lot of it is very sound, very good advice. I struggle with depression and bi-polar as it is so I've started my meds again and that seems to help some. My husband brought home a weightloss book so I'm reading that too. I can honestly say I'm on the way to being a happier, healthy me :-) Shae, I have to say that your advice was some of the best advice I have ever come across. I never realized you would go thru a grieving process but it makes perfect sense. I am so glad you posted it and I'm going to make sure I read it frequently. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to give out advice. Much appreciated!
  2. I am 5 days out of my surgery and am a little nervous. I knew the surgery was the best idea for me but I don't think I was mentally prepared for all the changes that would take place. I'll be honest...I love food so not being able to eat what I want when I want is really different. I know had I not had the sleeve done, I would have been more overweight than what I was before the surgery so I'm glad I got it done. It's just had to adjust when all you see on tv are food commercials and I'm dreaming of it. Does anyone have any ideas in how I can make this adjustment as easily as possible? Thanks.
  3. Well, tomorrow is the big day and the nerves have set in. I keep wondering what if something goes wrong or I didn't do something right? I know this is the right decision, I'm just nervous I guess. It's 11:19pm here so only a little bit longer...but wow, it came quick!!
  4. So I started my pre-op diet (high Protein, no carb) last Tuesday. I'm getting sleeved November 8 so I'm excited. However, I've messed up a couple times and had some carbs so now I'm worried about the surgery. I know everything will probably be okay but I'm still nervous. My husband was sleeved almost 2 weeks ago and did great. However, me not so much...any advice? Brandy
  5. Hello everyone!!! My name is Brandy Gilbert. I am a 26 year old mother of a 20 month old little boy named Kaden. I am scheduled to have my sleeve done November 8th and I am so excited!! My husband, Steve, recently had his sleeve done October 20th. He's doing great. We both made the decision to have the sleeve done so we could make sure that we taught our kids a healthier way of life. I also had problems with my pregnancy so I'm trying to avoid that happening again. Well, anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself :-)
