  1. Lol yep! I'm so ready ! On the bright side I've lost 6 this week on the liquid diet and still 2.5 days left ... Wishing is BOTH luck and speedy recovery!
  2. I know how u feel! I'm only 5 foot but I weighed 202 before this week on liquids. Apparently I must carry this weight pretty good for being so short but for me to have a normal BMI I will have to be 125. Me personally I will be thrilled with 135! So that's a significant amount to lose and the closest I got wa 145 about 11 yrs ago. So to me I qualify for the surgery my insurance covers it WHY NOT??? I'm sure in the long run my arthritis will thank me ! Lol
  3. I'm MONDAY 2-6 yayyaaa I can't wait! so ready to be on the losers bench
  4. I don't like real sweet stuff and after hearing ya'll call them isopukes I"M DEF NOT spending $5 a bottle LOL ...I will be sticking to water broth and maybe G2 I will have to try that bc I have never had it . I don't really like gatorade or any drinks that are too sweet. The protein shots they have at walmart called whey to go are made with whey protein (of course!) and they have 42g of protein per shot. I may can sip one of those per day, they would also be MUCH better if they were less sweet! I'm gettin my new buddy the sleeve, MONDAY!!!
  5. If you are over 18 they are not allowed to give out your medical information unless you specifially put your mom and dad's names down on your paper work as being allowed to get the information... that's just wrong! I hope it all works out and your dad comes around soon!
  6. AHHH nice to hear a good calming story! My co worker had hers done the 23rd and has had a few problem, but nothing too terrible thank goodness. Makes me feel better since it's my turn on the 6th!!! whew coming up fast! doing my liquid diet now.
  7. We are ALL the same day! COOL I know we are all SOOOO READY!!! I'm glad I have some buddies on here I started my liguid pre-op diet yesterday, woke up 4 pounds lighter today. I know that won't happen every day but would be nice to lose a pound a day this week. Of course I have had a mojor headache since yesterday afternoon. I had a RMB resting metabolic rate test done yesterday and it says mine is 1930 which the nut said is towards the high side for a woman so that's good! I hope it stays high for while, I'm sure it will go down quite a bit when I lose more weight unfortunatly.
  8. There is also the No-NO hair remover home laser, and the new ones are approved for use on the face. I think I will be getting one of these REAL soon bc I have noticed all my hair is growing faster...now I read it's prolly the Biotin... LOL O well it's a trade off bc the hair on my head is thinner..so I'm trying to get a jump on that since my surg is 2-6 but now my leg and face hair is double time
  9. AWWW bummer! dam it! The place I was gonna eat crawfish closed at 3, so I guess I will have to wait until I"m all healed at the end of the season to have a few...o well I had crab and shrimp "bar trash" is what they call it, and crab bisque soup from another place that I really like too.
  10. Start liquid diet tomorrow ! Surg 2-6 eating my fav food on the planet crawfish!!!!
  11. Now my surg. Is sch for 2-6 due to my husbands wirk sch I start my 1 week liquid diet Monday! But ive been trying to eat low carb all this week to get ready! So excited to begin this journey will all my shorty sistas
  12. I hope she will sense it also and be gentle LOL , she's only a yr and a half old. She's very smart so I think it will be OK but the treats for a distraction is a great idea!
  13. I have a 90# St. Bernard and she's a big baby who loves to love on us ...so I'm trying to figure out ways to deal with her but not totally just stick her outside and ignore her for weeks til I'm more well and able to tend to her. She's good about sitting and not jumping on you mostly unless she's really excited! lol
  14. I have Anthem BCBS as my secondary and they approved me in like 2.5 weeks, I also have BCBS edge for my primary and they have pretty much exactly the same pre-requisites as far as getting approved. I'm sure that helped speed it along since I was already approved by my primary ins. This whole process started June 28th so it's taken awhile with the monthy weigh ins and nut and nurse visits but will be SOOO worth it, I'm sch. for 2-6.
  15. People that are shallow usually do things like and seek out "friends" that they look better than bc then in their minds it makes them "look better" or feel better about them selves. As far as husbands and wives go I think sometimes the thinner spouse is either gets resentful if you were thinner when you got married and then you gained weight, and I'm sure in some cases thin people are just attracted to heavy people. I can imagine I mite have some issues with some friends or my husband down the road but in the end we have to do what makes US happy and healthy!
  16. Has your blood sugar and your A1C been normal since your surgery? If its still alittle high then I'm sure you still need the metformin. Atleast until your levels are staying in normal range consistently.
  17. My secondary is bcbs Anthem and it only took about 2.5 weeks to get approved. I had been dealing with getting my ins. approved since July and really didn't think my 2nd would cover any thing at all...so I was pleasantly surprised! I hope they will take ins. as paying most of yours as well. I know alot of places and surgeons DO take ins. as payment in full or close to it if your ins. has a contract with them... it is so annoying but will be worth it in the long run!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
  18. I like the Aveeno tinted moisterizer too, I use it for base when I wear any... i usually just wear powder.
  19. I use other more intense stuff around my eyes, but for now the clean n clear is perfect for my face. Want to keep the wrinkles at bay as LONG as possible! lol
  20. FINALLY! insurance is all situated, and now my promary and my secondary have both approved me...this is a BIG relief since my surg. is sch. for 2-6 YIPPEEE ! can't wait!
  21. I use clean and clear moisturizer, if you are prone to break outs it's great. Plus the best thing to do is really exfoliate your face I use the apricot scrub 2-3 times per week and I also use this brown-ish exfoliating washcloth that you can find at walmart or heb. They have one that is like a regular washcloth on one side and the exfoliater on the other, but I like the one that's just the exfoliating. If you look up Christie Brinkley and her face routine you will see that is her "key" thing is exfoliating to keep her looking SO young. I have been doing it for years and I'm 42 ppl never think I'm my age, even with being heavy. So I'm HOPING it continues when I lose this dang weight!!!
  22. I have 2 insurances and I'm sch. for 2-6. I'm approved by boths so I will let you know how it all plays out once I'm done! Right now I have no idea what my OOP will end up being but my surgeon said it's not going to be much. So we shall see I can't wait to get this DONE!!!
  23. I'm in Beaumont area will be sleeved 2-6!
  24. Awesome! glad your feeling well, how's it going now? Update ???
