  1. I have seen a post about someone who hasn't really lost the hunger, but I'm worrying about the opposite problem.. My boyfriend is now three and a half weeks out and been back at work for a week now so I haven't been able to keep an eye on him much, but he says that he is FORGETTING to eat (well at this point its just protein shakes and creamy soup, but still!). Before hunger would tell him it was time to eat, but now he doesn't feel it so he goes the whole day with nothing and when he's home as we're about to go to bed he mentions he hasn't eaten anything! I'm really starting to worry about malnutrition, but maybe I'm overreacting? What do you think?
  2. the boyfriend had to take back all of his uniforms so he could get smaller ones! I'm glad he's so happy

    Mental Block?

It definitely isn't a healthy thought process, and as a friend of his I think you should suggest the option to this person. An unhealthy mind has the ability to lead back to an unhealthy body. Best of luck to you!
  4. That is awesome!!! My boyfriend went back to work last week, but he had coworkers coming over to the house before then to check on him and talk about the surgery. It is always great to hear a positive experience
  5. Second day back at work and my honey is doing great! <3

    Do you have drive?

I'm definitely finding that more men are fairly low on libido, but the women are still going! -Go Girls!!!
  7. I understand that post op is a difficult transition and energy isn't overflowing at the moment. However, for those of you who have completed it and recovery is going well, how long did it take you to get your libido back, or did it ever go away? I know this is fairly personal, but if you're comfortable I would like to hear your story on this matter. You can send me a private message if you like too!
  8. WALKING!!!!!! my boyfriend only recently had this surgery done, but he says the best way to keep his mind off of food is to walk, and so far we've walked every single day! You've come so far and you should be proud of that in itself, just be persistent and you will break through this wall! Good luck

  13. Hello all, I recently moved in with my on-again-off-again-but-now-on-again boyfriend. I've known him all my life, but we recently got close about three years ago. When he first mentioned the surgery I was supremely hesitant, only because I was worried about the surgery as well as the possible change to himself as a person. He had made his final decision about it, without really telling me, and while I agree it is his decision, I felt very left out. His surgery was June 17, and since he's been back I've been doing my best to help him as much as I can, but unfortunately it's not enough. He's said that me just supporting him isn't enough, that I have to actually be ok with what has happened and he feels like he can't tell me anything anymore. I don't think I've cried so hard in my life. I love him with everything I am, and I want to be a better girlfriend so that he will talk to me about this again. So, if anyone has any ideas or thoughts on what I can do, or if there is something you wish your significant other would do for you, please let me know!!!! Thank you
