  1. SN..............Starting Wt..........Current.........Goal.......Lbs to Goal Julie76...............232....................197............180............17 Another update......TOM is in the house so not too much of a change but it's a change none the less. SN..............Starting Wt..........Current.........Goal.......Lbs to Goal Julie76...............232....................194............180............14 I may have set my goal a little high but I still have some time. This was my first goal I set.
  2. YAY! You Rock that sleeve!!!
  3. Yes the guy was a creeper and really rude but it's a bar and that's what you get when you work in a place like that. That goodness I work at a normal, respectable job 8-5 to keep my sanity.
  4. I have a little bit of a jealous boyfriend too. He is a huge guy and no one will tempt him but I don't foresee me working at the bar for too much longer. I would hate to have to spend all my tips bailing him outta jail every time someone hits on me. With each pound I lose I see him getting a little more irritated with people hitting on me. I can honestly say though... I kinda like it when he gets a little jealous.lol Pay backs really. Girls hit on him all the time.
  5. Ok! I need help. I am 18 days out. real close to losing 40 lbs.....so I start my period yesterday and my emotions are all over the place! I want to cry one minute and the next I'm all smiles. What the heck is going on? I have never had this issue before! EVER! Cramps, bloating, back and neck pain sure but this is all new.
  6. I feel for you. I had the same thing happen to me. I hurt to bend or walk or lay down....well everything hurt. I hurt it on day 5 and here I am day 18 and it still hurts just not to the point of crying like before. Glad to hear your mending and keep taking it easy for a while. No need to hurt yourself again. You have your whole life to exercise now.lol
  7. So I started bartending again on day shift so I don't have to stock or mop when I leave cause we do that at night....anyway.... Football season is upon us and we have new people coming in to watch the games. We weren't that busy and my Dad had stop by to see me and play some pool with me. While I was playing pool with him a guy walked over to me and stood next to me for about 5 mins. I asked him how he was doing and he said "Great now!" all excited. I said "So your having a really good day then?" He said "I am now!" I just kinda looked at him and he said "Cause you are F**king gorgeous!" I was extremely taken back by that. Caught me off guard and I even quit playing pool. Didn't really know how to handle it.lol I talked to my dad about it and he told me to get use to it cause it was going to happen more and more. After I thought about it, I came to realize that along with the healthy benefits of this surgery came some other benefits. I'm happy I look better but I can't explain how much better I feel! It did make me feel good that someone said that too me but I was always know as the "Pretty faced" bartender. Looks like all that's changing now.
  8. Sorry to hear your having it so rough.Hope it gets better.
  9. So happy to hear you are doing so well!
  10. Crab bisque soup sounds so good. Might have to do that too!
  11. Hi Everyone. I'm doing good besides the pain from the pulled internal stitches. Remember that just because you feel really good doesn't mean you are completely healed from all of the stuff they cut and pulled on and tugged around on in there. The only other problem I'm having is being able to tolerate the Protein. Is it just me or could they make it taste any worse. I added some chocolate syrup to my chocolate Protein shake and it made me sick so I WILL NOT do that again. I have done pretty good with the weight loss so far, Still have a lot to go but I am only two weeks and one day out and didn't really expect it to disappear overnight since it took ten years to get there. I hope everyone is doing well with their recovery as well.
  12. Good luck and sending prayers for a speedy recovery!
  13. Just wanted to update this..... Don't know if I will make it. But we'll see. SN..............Starting Wt..........Current.........Goal.......Lbs to Goal Julie76...............232....................197............180............17 It sure feels good to see these numbers compared to when I started.
  14. Isn't it crazy! I had my surgery on Aug 4th and everyone has mentioned how much different I already look in the face too. It is a great feeling! Keep up that fight, there are more wonderful things to come to us!
  15. That's really great! Congrats! I can't wait until I'm 57 lbs down! That is so awesome! Keep up the amazing work!
  16. Hi Tex! Glad to hear everything turned out well for you! Keep up the good work!
  17. Hello Everyone! I haven't been here in a few days because I have been so busy with getting the girls ready to start school again. My oldest daughter will be driving this year and I'm a nervous wreck, Anyway, I went to the doctor yesterday and found out I weigh ........ drum roll please....... 198! No more 200's and that feels amazing! I am so happy with having this surgery! Even after I pulled stitches because of trying to hard to early. I put on a pair of capri's I bought on sale 2 years ago thinking if I just lost a little weight I could wear them...... Well, I wore them and they were a little lose. Another amazing feeling!:D Overall, I feel good...except my stitches of course.lol ....... I haven't been getting all my Protein and that's my fault because I just don't like it and to make myself like it I have to add stuff (like chocolate syrup) that's not good for me. I get to start eating chicken this week so I will focus on getting more of my protein from food but I know I will have to have some of a supplement too. I know, I know, I'm working on it. I knew that would me my hardest part. So, I hope all of you are doing great as well and can't wait to see what you post here!
  18. Glad to hear you are getting to go home! I hope you have a safe trip and your recovery is a fast and smooth one. Congrats!
  19. All I had to drink was 8oz to be able to leave. And I was better and almost 100% by day 4. Good luck!
  20. Thanks Kelly, I will check those out. I wonder if it is possible to just eat enough meat to get all the protein you need? Wouldn't that be great! I guess you would be stuffed full all of the time though.
  21. I'm 7 days post op! Yay! Feeling great! Everything went great! I have posted on the Post-op Forum but just want to check in here too. I did really well with the surgery and I couldn't ask for a better Surgeon and Hospital to have my surgery done with. Dr. Mason at the Physicians Center in Bryan, TEXAS I'm looking forward to the great things I have coming my way! 5 lbs away from being under 200 and that feels great already! I hope everyone else is having the same great results I'm having. This has truly been a wonderful blessing for me! So I will check on everyone as their day gets here and GOOD LUCK to everyone!
  22. Hello Everyone! I received my sleeve on Aug. 4th. Everything went awesome! My fears of pain were misplaced and all I have to say about that is.... they give you pain meds for a reason. USE THEM. It made my life a million times easier. The only real pain I felt was from the gas they expand your abdomen with anyway... which is intense! Pain meds were my friend until about three days out and I was good after that. However... I was feeling so good I went on a walk with my dog and guess I didn't realize how far I went and maybe over did it. I have a very sore spot in my tummy next to an incision area that I my have pulled. It feels like it's on fire when I turn a certain way sometimes. But, I'll be ok. Today is my first day back to work but I'm only in to read and answer emails and then I'm heading home at 12. I will be back full time next week. I have to say this is the best decision I have ever made in my life. No regrets what so ever! I haven't been sick and really the only thing that has changed is the way the protein tastes. I will have to find some I can deal with because what I bought before I just can't choke down. Any suggestions would be wonderful! So if anyone has any questions about anything please feel free to ask.
  23. That just goes to show you right there............I'm 5'4" and even at 230...cause I'm down now... I wore a 16/18 pants.
  24. Thank you guys so much!
  25. I hope everything went great!
