  1. Congrat!! What a great way to start off the new year.
  2. Don't panic and don't give up. I gained at the beginning also. I am now 13 months post op and down 117 lbs. The important things are that you are getting in fluids and protein. Give it time it will melt off.
  3. Your doing great. You will have stalls but don't give up. Even though your on a scale stall you are probably still losing inches. I wish I would have measured myself prior to surgery but I didn't measure for 2 months after.
  4. That is awesome. Congrats
  5. Congrats on your weight loss and wedding.
  6. Thanks everyone it is a great feeling
  7. Don't buy much at once. I have gone from 22-12 in six months. I would only buy from the goodwill store or get hand me downs from co-workers.
  8. Tomorrow will be my 6 months post op. I had my surgery on November 22. My beginning weight was 282 and as of today I am 187. I am down 95 lbs. I went from a size 22 to a 12. I am so loving my sleeve.
  9. I'm three months out and still carry gum every where. Doctor said it will go away once I start eating more food other than protein.
  10. I am 3 months out and I had problems at the beginning but not anymore.
  11. I use a very small spoon and fork.
  12. I didn't have any drains. I went back to work 1 week after having my surgery done. Everyone at work that knew I had it was really supportive.
  13. I did the protein shots 25g of protein. I bought mine from Wal-Mart. I would drink one first thing in the morning to get some protein in. I got tired of the shakes quick. I started adding a little water to them to water it down some to drink it.
  14. Personally I have a couple of ladies I work with that had problems with the lap band. I also have issues with my body rejecting foreign objects. The sleeve was right for me b/c I am not having anymore kids and I want a permanant change. Don't have to worry about paying for fills.
  15. I had my sleeve on November 22, I spent 2 days in hospital. No drain tubes. I had my precedure on a Monday and returned to work with no problems the following Monday. I think it all depends on the person. I also have to go up stairs at work and had very little problems. I started walking the day of surgery. The more you walk the better you will feel. I only used Tylenol liquid Adult rapid release for pain.
  16. I am 6 weeks out. I sit down can't wait to eat something take 2 bites and I am done. Today is my son's birthday and he want to go eat out tonight and I'm dreading it because I know I can't eat much.
