clothing exchange/exercise
But, allot of us are just starting out biking and working out. Buying the correct gear can get pretty expensive. So, I was putting things away today, and noticed I had 2 pairs of bike shorts that I bought last season and a bike shirt from last season. They are in great shape. 1 pair of padded bike shorts are from Junonia and are a size 4x. I wore these when I was still in 300's and high 280's.... I also have a 4x jersey The other shorts are from Aerotech and are gel pads. they are a 3 x. If you are interested in purchasing these and seeing pictures of them, PM me, or email me.

you can get them online at GNC or I beleive they are called NEW WHEY....Gosh they sure do beat the drinks...gag!!!! Just remember....you dont have to do this alone...we are all here for you. We have been there. I am a year out, and I still have cravings and weakness....which is why my weight has stalled. I got comfortable, and got lazy with my diet.... good luck.....and try the bullets...sometimes I will drink a little and than add some water so it is not so thick...makes it easier to. The grape is my favorite

Major Bandster HELL!!!
To be honest...I thought the first month was the hardest of all. You are right...you do crave food......I can suggest what worked for me was to use protien. I got the protien bullets....(they taste like kool-aid) and they were my dearest friend. Hang in there...it will get easier....when the weight starts coming off and you look at this, you will be wow! Another suggestion that helped....I got OUT OF THE HOUSE when I started craving something...that is how I started getting on my bike more...or go for a short walk....and take Water with you..... Stay strong...it is worth it:rolleyes2:

hey, I am 228 and have a big BUTT that gets bigger in spandex....and also always getting into fights with my jersey.....I know people look, but I dont care anymore at all. I love the feel of being on that bike.... You guys hang in there..and yes, yes, yes.....the hotter it is, the harder it is to ride. I always TRY to ride in the evening or in the am....but sometimes mid afternoon rides are the only time...I always cut it down when I do that.... Drink and drink.....

OMG...I never realized it, but I did and do the same thing pulling a hill????? WOW.....must work on that tonight when I go out..... Hmmm...just really didnt realize that.......I am always in the drops pulling a hill...... I have been included in a "faster group ride" this weekend.....she called 2 rides and the first one will pick up the second group of riders and than head back.....I asked her where she thought I should be, and she told me with the first group....so, I am pleased....I have allot to prove to her and to me......and i am doing it each time I hit the pavement...even last nights ride, short as it was, I did the hills without going to the granny gears and it felt awesome!!!! Have a Happy anniversery day!!!!!!:tongue_smilie:

D...I am almost at 500 !!!!! To me that is just awesome......I am setting some major goals for myself over the next 10 weeks...maybe 11 since I will be gone a week for work... But...I believe that challenges make us strive for something better...something that we never thought we could achieve.... I went to ride tonight because you told me you were going out for a ride....I knew I had a choice...either sit here because my husband did not want to ride, or go.....so, my daughter and I loaded the bikes up and off we went. Bad thing was is it was already 7 and we only had so long to ride...so going where we could get in the mileage was out of the question considering we would have to drive 30 miles one way to get there. So we went 10 miles away and got in what we could and challenged ourselves on some killer hills.....You know, I am reallyyyyy getting tired of the hills....but doing them in a harder gear when you use to walk the same hill, it is truly a wonderful feeling...........and the burn........oh ya!!!! Ok, got to get to bed....LOL

suzzie....Good for you with the food choices.....fresh food is soooooo expensive. It is so hard for me to buy enough good food for 5 people without breaking the bank. And our problem is my son will eat all of it in 2 days.....instead of making it last...and usually I end up with none of it.....UGHHH!!!! Keep your head up~

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Sorry BG that the rain messed up the ride. I had a friend who was doing RAIN today and she had bike issues. She held on until 92 miles and had to stop. Her bike was not down shiffting at all for her and she was dealing with the heat on top of it. She is in her mid 50's, and I am very very proud of her! she is a wonderful person and a great inspiration to the ones who know her. She writes articles for the paper about the adventures of biking granny. They are pretty neat. Anyway..no ride for us tonight either/ The heat, and then the rain. So....hoping to get one in Sunday early Hope all had a good weekend
