hi...i'm 8 days post op and i am experiencing the gurggling sounds too. feels pretty funny sometimes. i have started my full liquid diet on yesterday and i still struggle with putting anything in my mouth. just want to make sure i don't mess up anything...lol i have gotten through some soft grits and unsweetened apple sauce... i am a newbie, but if anyone else has any suggestions, let me know...:-)
  2. Brenda Kay...let's go through the list. are you exercising like you should? are you eating only what you can until you first feel full? that is so important... i had the same problem that you had one week, but when i got back on the right track. it came off like it was supposed to. if all else fails, just continue to do what you are supposed to and the weight will come off. maybe your body is still adjusting... good luck and keep the faith!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I was banded on 4/5/07 and one week post op, I started walking. Nothing strenuous, just something to get my body moving and to get in the mindset that I needed to start exercising. I am so afraid of getting the saggy skin. After my post op appointment with my surgeon, he cleared me for all activity, so I do just about everything now. I was hesitant to begin any abdominal exercises, but after a couple, I was okay. No pain. I think it all really has to do with how you feel. Happy Exercising Everybody!
  4. Julie88. I don't recall fish being on my diet either. You may want to take it easy and stick with the mashed potatoes, but wait another week before you do the fish. Either way, great job on your weight loss and keep up the good work!
  5. gettin skinny. don't be discouraged. sometimes the weight loss is slow, but it's a big change that your body is experiencing right now. don't lose focus. it's happening, just a little different for you and your body right now.
  6. On my preop diet, I only lost 5 lbs, but my surgeon said I was okay. I did the south beach diet for two weeks. it was hard because i love bread, but worth it. i love reading all your comments. much encouragement. thanks!
  7. I just had my surgery last week...4/5/07....and I had regrets the second day, but only because it finally hit me that I would have to make this change. Food is so addictive. I just pray and ask for the strength to make the right decisions.
