Well lets see.. I am the youngest of 6 children... My dad was 30 yrs. older then mom, he passed when I was 5..I have since lost both parents, and 4 siblings..3 of these had weight issues, So does my last surviving sister.

1976-1984 weight was average for my age. I never had a problem was very active, however mother and sister were both fighting a battle with weight..

1984-87 gained a lot of weight, moved to another city and new high school. I became less active and so I gained weight.. Hit 175 lbs. by now and it was noticeable.

87-88 lost bunches of weight when I started working.. People thought I was binging and purging.. went down to 99 LBS.. looked sick..

1989-97 weight climbed never over 155. Until I got pregnant then it started to gain and I never could loose the weight, (miss carried)

1999..Delivered my son.. He was a twin.. YEP.. I was over 200 LBS when I delivered him.  (sibling was lost in 3rd month) to this day my son is tall and skinny.. 6ft 2 and 120 lbs.

2000 separated from hubby and lost weight on the Atkins diet,, was down to 145 met my current husband we were married 2004.  Had a child together and weight still was stable..at 165.

2005 had issues with stomach and major pains. Living on 3 nexium pills and 4 lortab 10's each day to survive a day of work. Was sick on water, and weight climbed. Gall bladder removed and I almost never woke up.. they had problems with my weight during surgery. My breathing got shallow and they almost lost me.

from 2005-2009 I suffered in constant pain, and went to over 15 doctors not one could find the cause of the pain.  I was told every possible issue known to man, from allergies to Chron's disease with a dose of celiac thrown in for good measure. treated for Irritable bowl syndrome as well by then.. I was so fed up I went to 4 different hospitals about weight loss.  Until I ended up in Kings Daughters in KY.  The doctors there had a seminar and I attended. I was over joyed someone might be able to help remove my pain and weight.. I began my journey then. In December 2009. however I had to put it all on hold my mom got ill and I focused on her till her passing in March 2010.  I vowed then and there to loose the weight so I did not suffer the complications of type 2 diabetes, High blood pressure and all the other crap I had... Watching mom was the icing on the cake..

April 2010 first visit to Dr. Wheeler, I was told NO MORE smoking or no surgery...then NO soda.. Well that was it cold turkey for me.. Followed all the orders to a T, I even began to enjoy the new path I was on.. Then they discovered the cause of the pain. Potato allergy.  Well now I had a reason and the pain stopped.. But I did have a Hiatal Hernia but that was able to be repaired.   It was just up to the insurance company now.. I got a surprise call on October 17th, telling me I could be sleeved but if I was going to do it, it would have to be on Oct 28, 2010 at 6AM.. because it would be the 1at ever in the hospital an everyone wanted to watch and also a new staple was being used.... WELL here I am now 5 years out..

I have had my ups and downs and all around's.. But I would do it again... and without all the help from people on this board and others I would not have made it this far... thanks for listening...
