  1. Don't get upset with it I was the same way couldn't figure out how you only get like 500 cals a day and still don't lose. Everyone on here will tell you stay with your plan and it will come off just focus on letting your body heal it has went though alot of changing don't get discouraged. I went on like a 1 1/2 week stall after surgery was totally beating myself up everyone on here told me the same thing and it has started moving again its slow but thats ok it gives me time to try and tone some in between. Good luck and remember it will come off.

    Quitting smoking

I quit smoking in March I was sick spent two days in hospital did real good for going cold turkey then in May i started back just a few puffs here and there stopped again in Aug for surgery was doing good until about week ago started back a few puffs here and there. I can't seem to get past the 2 month thing don't know whats wrong with me i'm trying it just so damn hard whenever you've smoked for 30+ years. I know all the bad things like they stink, make you have bad breath, I really don't even like the taste of them anymore I really think its just for my nerves maybe I need some meds to help I don't really know Good luck I really hope you can do it.
  3. 1 in 200 die ?

The weight loss center I had my operation at has only had 1 death and it also was a heart attack not from the surgery itself. I did do alot of research before operation and at the semenair I had to go to is where I made my final decision on which surgery I was going to have. The sleeve seemed to be the best choice for me because of less complications. Good luck with you surgery. I do love my sleeve!!!!
  5. I had 2- 1 in bellybutton and one small on left rib plus 1 small for drain.

Don't get to upset I am in the same boat as you I have only lost 36 lbs since sept 10th that is the day that I started my liquid pre-op diet my surgery was sept 24th and i'm losing VERY VERY SLOW I know one day the scale will catch up to my 600-750 cal diet. It will drive me crazy until it does.
  7. I get hungry or should I say my stomach growls a bit but whenever it does its because it has been 3 1/2-4 hours after I ate and time to eat again. I love having my sleeve it is the best thing I've done I just wish I would've had it years ago.

I really hope my nightmare isn't coming true that I had this surgery and still can't lose weight I don't see how that caould be because of cal I take in a hellalot less then be surgery. It will get better I know it will in time!!!!!

I have started walking and am walking about 2 miles daily. It will get easier every day that goes by good luck to you.
  19. Hi Christine, Yes i'm doing very well my recovery is fantastic I have had no problems thus far I have been walking 2 miles every afternoon. I hope everything continues to go well for you.

  20. I don't know if this will help anyone but I was told in one of my classes for my WLS that you can take at least 25mg Biotin to lessen the chance of your hair falling out well my hair is thin to begin with so I went to Walgreens and bought 1000mg for about $6 and take one a day my hair feels like it is getting thicker since i've been on the Biotin. Hope this helps!
  21. Hi i'm new to this but noticed that we had our surgerys done 2 days apart and I beleive at the same place Depaul Hosp. My friend had hers done on the 20 there also. I'm glad to see that we are not the only ones that have gone with the sleeve. In our class and on the last support class we were the only ones there having it done. Will be great to have someone else so close to follow up with good luck on your journey. Kim
