  1. I am very proud of you and your persistence in the out to dinner event. I enjoy going out with my husband, and family. I am getting sleeved tomorrow and I know this will be a challenge the first time or two for me also. Keep up the good work and thanks for the inspiration!!!
  2. If you are following your nutritionist's advise about starting the next level of fluids, there's nothing "bad" or wrong with you being excited about it. I'm still a newbie, waiting for insurance hoops, but I think that I'd be excited to move on from Clear Liquids when it was time. I wish you more flavor options and a speedy recovery.
  3. :thumbup:Congrats to you and a speedy recovery!!!!
  4. I was thinking of you and wondered if you were feeling any better. 199#s that's wonderful. Keep up the great work! Unfortunately, I am still waiting for my primary MD to have his office staff move on his referral to my selected surgeon and the bariatric clinic. Monday, it'll be 2 weeks since I saw my doctor. I can't believe that it takes 2 weeks to make a referral. I'll call them back on Monday. I really want to start hoop jumping.
  5. :w00t: Hope all went well for you. There soon will be a new player on the loser bench!!! Speedy recovery is wished for you.
  6. Congratulations,!!! You should really be proud of your accomplishment. I'm still waiting for my primary physician's referral to a surgeon and the bariatric clinic. I think that it's going to be a long journey. Stories like your's inspire me. Keep up the great work!
  7. :thumbup:Way to go, Dansha!!!!!! What a terrific weight loss result. Keep up the great work that you are doing!!! You are an inspiration to all of us newbies.:001_smile:
  8. :001_smile:Hi: I'm so sorry that you had to wait until December, but think how great you're going to look next summer!!!!! Do something nice for yourself today to make the day go by quicker. You are an inspiration to us newbies. Keep in touch.
  9. :001_smile:Hi, Lisa: Thank you for your encouragement. I saw my primary MD on Friday. He is referring me to the surgeon who held the information meeting on the sleeve and also to the bariatric clinic. Let the hoop hopping begin!!! I know that you must be excited with a December date!
  10. :biggrin0:Hi: That's wonderful that you have an insurance company that you don't have to hassle with. Let me know when you get your surgery date. I'll be pulling for you!!! Best of luck to you!

  12. Thank you for responding! Currently, the insurance person for the surgeon that I'm hoping to have says that she is appealing two other cases that were initially turned down, and that so far, none have been approved for the sleeve procedure. There are alot of hoops to jump through to be considered, but after diets and exercises have failed to help me lose weight, I am VERY determined to do what it takes. It probably will at the least take me an entire year to meet the requirements for bariatric surgery. Hope reigns eternal!!:cursing: PS How are you doing? Good luck for a speedy recovery and making your goal!!
  13. Hi: I'm just in the beginning of my journey for what I hope will someday be a vertical sleeve. I've attended my first informational meeting with a local surgeon, and have gotten the referral to the bariatric clinic by my primary physician. I'm 5'6" and 236 pounds. I don't know if my insurance company will pay for a sleeve , but, I've been doing lots of research on it on the internet, especially on this site. I think that it's so wonderful for all of the support and advice that you all give to one another. I wish you all success on where ever you are on your journey.
