Hi girls ..... Im at the Grand Hotel Tijuana now, and the big day is tomorrow!! Its so nice to be able to relax now that were finally here... it was a long morning being up at 3:30am eekss.... once in SanDiego though it was a quick drive to Tijuana!! I was so relieved lol (20 minutes) We did a little tour of the hotel, saw the pool and pharmacy and now we're in out rooms just resting up for the big day!! The hotel is really nice.....its connected to Dr.Pompa's office... we just walk in the morning from here (takes under 5 minutes). It ended up also that another girl came down with my facilitator and I, and we actually went to jr high and high school together, lol what a small world!! It was great having someone to know on the plane ride down. Its nice though in the hotel, bed, tv (no dvd here - maybe at Dr.Pompas?), and bathroom. Nice view of the golf course. And so far so good, and nothing to worry about in Tijuana.... the driver at the airport was easy to find, and Im feeling quite safe being here... wasnt sure what to expect as I usually go to the resorts in Mexico :thumbup:. I have less then 24 hours to go ....and I should have my surgery completed!! Im so excited, more excited to wake up and say its done, I can start a whole new me!!

I think that the messages regarding Dr.Pompa was beyond certain limits and I really wonder what the intentions were in writing this ... an email that starts off with an apology, but then quicky there after states "But if you go there expecting you're going to get a true sleeve....like the one I have...you're going to be disappointed. I unfortunatey would have to disagree, If I was giving out an award for the best drama this month, I would love to give out the Oscar! Just a heads up.... Dr.Pompa has hundreds of positives, and reviews online... I definitly would recommend taking the search to become more informed about her and educated about her surgeries!

Lil Miss Diva - great idea on doing a spread sheet - I need to start planning my groceries for the next 2 weeks today... plus a little workout - min of 20 min on the eliptical and sit ups Grat video Hank and welcome - sorry to hear how bad the lap band was and so exciting youre on a new path for weightloss!! It will be so cool to see your videos as you progress! and I so hear you Squick when it comes to the after part.... but I think a lot is our protien drink and clear fluids for a few weeks out... we definitly have enough support from everyone here to walk us through it!!

I need to get on high protein soon and low carbs (at least 2 weeks of it)- and then there is the liquid 3 days before and only 20 days left lol so soon!! what are your plans?

20 days to go and so many people even closer .. and so many people for September, its so great!!! yes measurements today, and pre op diet soon, and excitment!! It will be so nice to have everyone for support before and after!! Yeah September sleeve sisters!!

I hear you... theres no one in Calagry either right now, so yes definitly lets stay in touch (the more support the better!!)... DrPompa is an amazing Doctor... be careful of the soap opera and drama on here though!!! lol I just learnt and was overwhelmed what negativity there is on here lol..... DrPompa is 5 star!! So her experience I take it with Dr.Pompa was wonderful!!! How long ago was the surgery? How much is she down so far?? Im always excited to hear the results!! As for payment ...it is 8900$USD for the basic package and Im paying $10900 for someone from WLF to go with me as a companion. My boyfriend isnt too impressed hes not going, lol but I need someone whos been there done that and can help support me through all of it. I just feel better that way, even though I love him dearly. :svengo:

Oh hey Sleeve or bust, you are going through DrPompa... I went through weight loss forever in saskatchewan, I think you can go whereever you want to book it (unfortunately no support groups yet in Calgary, but hopefully soon!!)... I had to book 2 months in advance as I have to give work one months notice, and with summer being here the other month was taken up, way too much to do lol 25 days now though!! Definitly looking forward to getting it done, lets stay in touch, any tentative dates?? Mine is Sept 17th :svengo:
