  1. I was banded in 2007 and had a c-section march 2010 I had no problems at all. I don't see how they go any where near your port. Only thing I had was a little heart burn during and after delivery they allowed me to take Zantac. Hope this helps.
  2. This is awesome to know how many calories everyone is eating. I am 185 and want to lose 30 more lbs. So I started counting my calories recently eating between 1,000 to 1,200 a day. Hoping this will work. I want to get this weight off so bad. Good luck to everyone.....
  3. I went without my 1st fill 6 months months. The weight came off fast like you are doing 1-2 lbs 1st 6months then it slowed down alot. I am not saying this will happen to you but it could. Don't be discouraged if you don't reach your goal wthout a fill. It is really hard. I am still not at my goal and I had surgery May 16th 2007 but I am close. Got luck!!!!
  4. hello seagogirl, the answer to your question on my part in yes, yes, yes i would do it again. i don't regret it one bit. i had my band surgery on may 14th and was 242 and now 5 weeks later 208 i feel great!!!!! i had a easy surgery and a easy recovery i was lucky. as for my band i get very good restriction. i think the key to success is to do what they tell you. eat slow, chew food, drinks your fluids, don't push yourself or your band. food will always be there. take your time trying new foods just because you can eat don't mean you should eat what ever you want. i thought that i would miss alot of different foods but i don't, i have control and don't miss certain foods, yes sometimes i crave something, but i can come up with something to substitute for something healthier. one of my favorite treats is blue bunny sugar free ice cream with sugar syrup and sugar free cool whip yuuuumy. good luck in your choice.

I'am very nervous but also very excited i really think having support of others that know what your going thru will be awesome. Most people around me my friend, my mom,my aunt have all had gastric by-pass and it is different than banding. I don't know alot of people that has had banding done and I am glad that i will be able to have support from people that has experienced the ups and downs first hand. Thanks
