Tired of not being picked
Thank you for posting this, Tiffy. I sent it to my best friend who is currently in one of those relationships where she knows it's unhealthy for her but feels like it's her duty to help him with his anger and addiction problems. Thank you. I can't really relate because I've been lucky enough to find a great man who loved me when I was a big girl and will still love me when I'm thin! And looking ladies, I wish you all the best of luck in finding what you want! :biggrin2:

After 15 weeks post-op...
Thank you all for all of your support! I'm so glad I found this forum! :biggrin2: Man I'm getting tired of buying new clothes! Hehehe. Gone from a size 24 jeans to baggy size 18s, and I LIKE these jeans, lol! And a size XXL t-shirt to a size L t-shirt. And I don't even want to talk about bras! :001_huh: Running out of clothes that I already had so it's about time to go back to the store!

After 15 weeks post-op...
I've lost 51.8 lbs since surgery!!!! Which means I've lost 69.2 lbs since last July when I first went to orientation. I am about 1.2 lbs from being halfway to my goal! I can't believe this! :w00t: My surgeon told me about the 60% in the first year stats, which would mean I'd be down to 190 by January 2011. He told me at my 3-month post-op appointment 2 weeks ago that I may not necessarily ever make my goal (140). I'm gonna prove him wrong. I'm going to get strict on my exercise regimen again, and I want to be in Onederland by May 15th, which is the day I'll graduate from college. I think that will be a nice way to go out. So I'm hoping to lose another 12.2 lbs in...a little under 4 weeks. We'll see! Thank you all for all of your support. I couldn't do this without you guys!

Just a little advice.
I'm a little over 3 months out, and have been taking my antacid (prescription) about a month and a half now. I forgot to take it yesterday, and woke up choking on stomach acid again. At my 3-month appt. last week, my surgeon told me to wean off the antacid and definitely not take it more than three months.:sad0: What are you taking, excited2lose? I was just wondering if you're on prescription antacid or over the counter. I know I can only do another month and a half of my prescription antacid, so I'm going to have to find an over-the-counter product eventually.

5% of 1%?
That link was really interesting! Some of the statistics surprised me. I guess I thought more Americans would identify with non-belief, but I guess not!
-
5% of 1%?
Good to have you! I think you explained your belief/non-belief very nicely.

pcp loves the idea of mexico
Stacey, that's great news! I'm so happy for you! :wink0: Coming from someone whose pcp wasn't supportive of wls at all, I can imagine how much better you must feel now!

Tea and Pasta
Herbal, fruit (both naturally caffeine-free), and decaf teas are okay. I had the same problem with water at the beginning, but around a month or a little over post-op, I kind of weaned myself off the crystal light and started drinking plain water again. Some day my sleeve still doesn't want plain water, but it's okay most days now for me. Just keep trying it, it gets better! :biggrin0:

5% of 1%?
I agree with this.

Soo I started my Vlog!
I like that idea! I only have 2 so far, both wrists & one on my upper back, but I want more! I just can't decide what. I'm sure you know the feeling - once you get that first one you just want more! :001_unsure: Maybe I'll think up something to get when I reach goal. Keep up the vlogging, lady! It's cool to see people I "know."

Couch 2 5K
Thank you so much for posting about this! I uploaded it to my iPod this afternoon and I did my first day, week 1 today....in-place in the privacy of my dorm room! :w00t: I'm still super-self conscious since I live on a college campus & I don't really want all the really fit athletes watching me work out! Hopefully later this week, when I go home for Easter break, I can do it outside. I've never been athletic in the slightest, but even at my pre-op evaluations in meetings with both the recreational therapist & physical therapist I told them I wanted to start jogging someday. I did that first one and it wasn't too bad at all! I'm actually sweating much less than when I do my Walk-away-the-pounds DVD for half an hour. Pretty happy that I finally talked myself into downloading it! Thanks again!

Help
Anna, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Just relax and know that things will get better, it just may take a couple days. Just take it one day at a time and you'll be back before you know it! Sending hugs your way.
