  1. Welcome back! We missed you! We're also very relieved that you are ok!
  2. I'm deeply saddended by this tragic news. Ryan helped me in so many ways, probably in ways he never even realized. He loved his wife so much, his life became taking care of her, making sure she was ok, making sure she was as comfortable as could be. My prayers go out to Patty and his family. May God Bless you Ryan.
  3. Michelle, Way to go! You have battled the most difficult part of weight loss (the mental stuff) and won! Congratulations! You have always and will continue to be an inspiration.
  4. Vera, Happy Birthday Woman! You look incredible!!! And having a kid at 42?! Are you nutso?! haha! Just kidding! You've been an inspiration to me these past 2 years, thanks for all of the guidance and advice. Have a wonderful and special Birthday! Tricia
  5. Sammee, You are an inspiration! You look fantastic! Congratulations on reaching your goal, I'm sure you feel as terrific as you look! Good luck with the tummy tuck. Keep us updated on how all of that goes.
  6. Congratulations on your new arrival to bandland Remember to take it easy for the next few days and keep us posted on your progress.
  7. It sounds like you need another fill. I would start there, then tackle some of the other issues. At least being properly restricted might help a little with your food choices.
  8. Try telling someone that you got the band in Mexico! I would say that 99% of the people you tell that to will think that you've lost your mind. That's the main reason why I didn't tell a lot of people. My sisters, husband and a couple of co-workers know and that's it. They've all been very supportive, but I know that I wouldn't receive that same support from other co-workers and I know they would question my sanity.
  9. Happy Birthday Darcy Girl! 40 aint so bad, but enjoy the last of your 30's while you can! heh heh!!
  10. Christina we're all rooting for you! You hang in there!
  11. 115 pounds GONE and feeling fantastic!
  12. Hello Snowflake! I don't know if you've already had your surgery, but I'd be happy to talk to you if you'd like. Tricia
  13. Hello July Bandsters! I was banded July 26th 2004 so July has always been a special month for me! Congratulations to you all! Tricia
  14. Amen! There are a lot of great surgeons in Mexico, glad I picked one of the best!
  15. Congratulations! The band is one of the best things I've ever done! You won't regret it  Keep us posted on your journey! Tricia
  16. Babs, You are truly an inspiration! I'm so happy and proud of you! Tricia
  17. Not enough Bariatric Surgeons have an obsession to help the banded. I welcome you here with open arms, and appreciate any insight that you can give.
  18. Hey Lisa! Great to "see" you back! I always enjoyed keeping up with you for more reasons than one, but you and I were banded on the same day so there was always another "connection" there. Hope you're doing well! Tricia
  19. It sounds like you were banded recently. Have you had a fill yet? I really wish that doctors would be more informative to their patients to expect little or no weight loss before they are properly adjusted. I see so many newly banded people getting really frustrated before they've even had their first fill.
  20. Thank you for getting back to me! Can you email me the name of the doctor and phone number (if you have it) for the doctor in Jackson? tnoiler@infionline.net I found South MS Surgical Weight Loss Center in Ocean Springs, Dr. Avara who will do fills on patients banded in Mexico, but he's pricey. He charges a one time $150 office visit fee $400 for fills without flouro If flouro is needed, it's an additional $100 Let me know if you need a phone number and I can find that for you. Thanks again~ Tricia
  21. I'm trying to help a couple of friends that will be banded in July (in Mexico) find a fill doctor in the United States. They live in South Mississippi. Does anyone know of a doctor in Southern Mississippi that will fill someone that was banded in Mexico? I've already contacted South MS Surgical Weight Loss... They are wonderful, but very pricey. Any help would be appreciated~! Tricia
  22. I always felt my adjustments (fills) right after I had them. I never had delayed restriction after a fill. Everyone is so different, and everyone's band acts differently. I would definately say that if you still don't feel proper restriction in a couple of weeks to go in and get another small fill. The adjustment process can be a tricky one and might require several small fills until you get proper restriction. Let us know how everything goes. Good luck! Tricia
  23. Cathy, 20 minutes is amazing! That must mean that your band was easy to place, which is a good thing! Dr. Rodriguez is a wonderful surgeon, so I knew you'd be in good hands How are you doing? After my surgery, I felt better with every passing day. Hopefully you're feeling better every day. Tricia
  24. Hello Letty! It does sound like a small hematoma, especially if your doctor suggested that you put ice on it. I had a hematoma once that took a couple months for it to totally disappear. Just keep an eye on it, but if it bothers you a lot, you might want to call your local doctor just for peace of mind Take care! Tricia
  25. Updated..... I think my original pics were posted way back on page 2. I'm obviously old as dirt lol....
