face injections
I've had lip injections and just 1cc made a difference. It hurt for a couple days, but I'm sure transplanting might be done a bit different. I've thought about doing fat transfer in my lips. Have you seen any befores and afters regarding that procedure?

Are your family & friends telling you to stop losing weight?
It's time for one of my crazy questions again! Yes I like stirring the pot, I like to know what people think or how they approach any situation that most of us will come to someday. For those who are experiencing this situation, are your family and friends telling you not to lose anymore weight? Do you still have some weight to lose according to the BMI? Are you taking their advice under consideration, or are you going to make your healthy weight goal? What does your surgeon think? Sometimes our visions of ourselves can be greatly skewed by being super obese for so long, so it's possibly difficult to realize when we should stop losing weight or if we really should lose more. Of course the only person you should really listen to is your surgeon or weight loss staff in that respect. No matter what, always remain healthy mentally and physically.

Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?
I can't speak for anyone else but myself, and yes I do. I opened a savings account over the weekend to have reconstructive surgery in a few years.

Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?
@@Time1989 - I workout at least an hour a day 5-6 days per week. I add in toning which I'm sure is the most major reason I got so small, besides the fact that I'm much smaller framed than I originally thought. Even being in such small sizes I am still "thick" so I have no worries that I'll ever get too skinny. @@TheCurvyJones - Good point. As someone who is going on my 4th year post op I have been through a whole lot more than anyone who is newly sleeved. So much changes happen year after year and the 3 year post op gain is a reality. Not only that in time our faces fill out where once they might have looked extra thin. Our fat cells seem to redistribute to areas of our body once were off balance from other parts of our body. Good luck!

@@cutiepieinchi If you dream it, and reach for it you will achieve it. I know many post op WLSers that have run 5k's all the way up to marathons and beyond! I've run a few 5ks myself. Though I cannot anymore by the advice of my orthopedic surgeon, I will always have that memory of doing them. Go for it!

Southwestern Medical Center (PS after Weight Loss)
Wow! Someone just shared this website with me. Apparently this Medical Center does Plastic Surgery. While the surgeons are finishing up their training they perform plastic surgery for much less than other surgeons. Now, I always ALWAYS advise anyone to do your homework before choosing any surgeon to do any surgery on your body - but just wanted to throw this hat out in the ring for anyone looking around. I plan to look more into it when the time gets closer. I've saved the website in my favorites... Here's the link...

Divorce rates and WLS. (link to article inside)
That's a very high divorce rate. Fortunately my husband and I have been through 2 surgeries and are about to embark on our third. As time goes on we just get stronger! Like mentioned above, as long as we communicate our feeling in a respectful manner we can get through any negative situation and compromise.

STUPID PCP!
Find a new PCP! You need a regular Dr. who is on board with what you are doing and is supportive. This person is going to be helping your surgeon meet your medical health goals. Get your records copied and take them to your new PCP. Time to do some homework!

Do you feel better now that you have lost weight?
Yes! Absolutely. Everything from my knees to just the way I fit into a chair. I can walk miles and miles and not need a break. I look in the mirror and I feel accomplished and don't want to look away too quickly. I feel more confident meeting new people and not wonder if they think bad things about me. I feel confident enough to give advice to other people about what to eat, how to workout and safe means to weight loss. I just love the confidence in myself, it's hard to explain. This person has always been in here, but she's been living in a cocoon. Maybe your time hasn't happened yet when you really realize that you do feel better, but I believe it will happen eventually. Stay stronger!

Ex-Friend Keeps Writing Negatively About Me on Different Blogs and Web Sites
I can't add anything more than what has already been mentioned, run away and run away fast. Stop reading her blogs, it's only hurting you and right now your main focus is your surgery and healing and weight loss. She sounds like a psychopath wrapped in a bow. She's a really good writer and tries to sound convincing, but yet she spews venom. Good you blocked her on Facebook! You can make new and better, more supportive friends there now, like me!

@@Sparklingbeauty53 wonderful representation of how you're feeling right now! If I may make one suggestion though, keep ONE set of your biggest clothing. There will come that day when you can fit both legs in one pant leg of your largest. It is a very special moment and you won't want to miss out because you threw them away. That said, throw everything else away or donate them! ASAP.

What do you love about your new personality?
It's true we all change over the years, just by life experiences. Weight loss surgery is a huge life changer and the further out you are the more you can change. You learn so many things, especially if you are deep into the WLS support community. What is it about your inner self that you are proud to share that you have changed since surgery for the better? Or, if you are pre-op or newly WLS what changes do you hope for in the future? I have definitely learned a sincere compassion for others feelings, good or bad. Support is extremely important in my opinion in the WLS community. No one will ever understand us, like us. Some other things I enjoy about the "new" me is that I have come to accept who I am, my past, my present and feeling excited about my future. I have gained a confidence about myself and now I realize that I really CAN do ANYTHING that I put my mind to. I am studying Business Management and minoring in Nutrition... I never dreamed I'd ever have come this far! I still fight for my health and my life every day, but I also have the confidence within me that I will succeed at that too. No one is perfect, and least of all me - but I am glad I can say that I will fight daily to be the best me I can be. Enjoy your journey! Every day, every pound we get rid of and every bad or demeaning thought we ever had about ourselves.
