#TransformationTuesday: Before & Current Progress Photos!
@@Eclectick Hernias do cause reflux many times. I was on 40mg omeprazole in the am, 20mg Ranitidine before bed, cough meds and syrup all day, lozenges. It was a 24 hour deal for me. Thankfully I am 100% now post op. No more medications at all and my reflux is gone. However I did not have a hernia either so that wasn't why I had it. The Bypass really isn't nearly as worrisome as some seem to think. It saved my life.

You might want to start a new thread in the general Bypass section looking for Christian Bypassers.

Today I am 200 Days Free of Sugar
Today is an incredibly important day for me regarding my journey and road to complete health. Body AND mind, and soul. Addiction is a symptom of a deeper rooted problem. We MUST admit we are powerless over them, and that our lives have become unmanageable. Without this admission, true healing can not begin. I am worth it. YOU are worth it.

#TransformationTuesday: Before & Current Progress Photos!
Hi Everyone! No matter which surgery you had, we can always be proud and happy to share our progress. In the WLS Community we have something called the Transformation Tuesday where everyone will post there starting photo and compare it with their current photos side by side. Come back every Tuesday to share your progress and to view everyone else's! __________________________________________________ Attached is my current progress photo. Not all of you know this but I have been battling complications with my WLS since 2/2008 when I was first banded. I was revised to the VSG in 9/2010 and then again just recently to the Bypass on 7/9/2014. Today I am doing amazing. I think I'm FINALLY healed from everything and the going is good. I'm happy to share that I am only a few pounds from goal and my goal size. It's slow going but I think after so much one just realizes that being better than yesterday is really all that matters. <3

Who wants to come to a party?
@@*Lexie* drinking plenty of water is a huge factor in losing weight. If you up your water and stay on top of it (especially since you also workout) it will keep your retention at a minimum. Good luck!

How many oz of water are you getting in daily?

How Did You Find Out About BariatricPal.com?
It's been a LOOOONG time but I still remember how I found this place (or LBT back then). I was looking for research on the lap band. I've been here and very active ever since, with the exception of a little time in between here and there.

Stalling near significant milestone numbers?
I am 6.5 years post op, not sure who the question was directed to but that's me!

Waiting on the call!
The most exciting time... until you get your surgery date. Hang in there!

Stalling near significant milestone numbers?
I'll tell you what I've learned over the years... you will stall at the worst possible times. No way around it except keep doing all the right things and keep praying that tomorrow morning your scale will give you what you want to see. Good luck!

Having Upper GI EDG Scope, anybody had one?
Yes I've had one not to long ago. They put me in a twilight state, so I was awake but I didn't feel any pain. I also didn't feel fear either on what they were doing to me. It went smooth and easy. No worries, you will be fine.

Question about fluids
I would suggest setting a timer next to you for every 15 minutes. Take a sip of 2 oz. That will get you 8 Oz per hour and after 8 hours you will have your 64 Oz. Good luck! That's tough for most of us post op.

What’s Your Relationship with Caffeine?
I do limit myself to coffee only in the morning. I guess that's just me though. My surgeon only said to avoid it for 3 months.

Miss You Most / Don't Miss You at All
From the standpoint of someone who had my first WLS in Feb. of 2008 (6.5 years ago) I've gotten over missing in anything over time. So whoever sees this, hopefully this will be true for you too. The fact is most will eventually be able to eat anything again, just in moderation. I purposefully avoid some foods because it triggers a bad response in me and moderation doesn't work. But, my life as a fit, thin woman was worth every up and every down I've been through.
