  1. I am so grateful to have all of you. Hearing your stories and knowing I am not alone is so helpful. We just need to keep going. Thank you!!!
  2. Yea, I am exercising about 4 days a week for about 45 minutes, either all cardio or a mixture or cardio and weights. I am sore and can tell the workouts are going well. Started logging my food again to see if I can figure it out. I was thinking of going back to a shake diet for a few days to see if it will help. Thanks!! :-)
  3. Congrats Debbie!!!! I am so frustrated with the scale. It has not moved in a month. Eating right, logging my food. Exercising more than I have been. Not the way I wanted this year to go.
  4. I am struggling too, it's a tough time of year to keep focus on exercising and eating healthy, busier schedules and the treats. A coworker's wife brought in two LARGE containers of homemade cookies and candies. It is killing me to maintain self control. I have not been to the gym as much as I should, as I have so many other things to do after work. Ugh, one day at a time, keep focus, and don't beat ourselves up of any slip ups. We are all in this together. Happy Holidays!! So ready for January and to see what 2014 will bring.
  5. I had a similar week, we just have to keep moving forward and not let the past beat us up.
  6. Yea that seems to be my only change as well. Also too big of bites or not chewing enough cause a bit is pressure. I have a friend that is a few months ahead of me on this journey and is just now getting to the point where some foods are a no go. I am so ready to be there!!
  7. Anyone else having an issue with belching. I think I must trap air in my stomach when I eat, and then when I get up to move it escapes. :-) It's really lady like...
  8. You are on the same fill schedule that I am. I had my second fill yesterday, total of 5ccs next fill on 12.19. I am really hopeful I notice more restrictions, the last month was a struggle.
  9. Great job!!! I have my 2nd fill next week and I am so ready for more restriction. Currently have 3ccs and he said he would do 1.5 next time. Currently down 28lbs.
  10. I had my first fill about two weeks ago, and for the first time since being banded I am sooo hungry. Hopefully the next fill will help.
  11. Had my first fill today. Easy, just not looking forward to 2 days of liquids, followed by 2 days of puree, then one day of soft. But then real food again.
  12. I have been trying normal foods with no real issues. Banded 9/30. Haven't done any bread or steak, pork. But chicken and ground meats have been no problem.
  13. I had my surgery 9/30, I've lost 19lbs and have my first fill on 10/25. Looking forward to the next step. Started back to the gym this week.
  14. Hang in ther Debbie!!! We have to not beat ourselves up for yesterday and start strong again today.
  15. Feeling kind of lost and alone... 10 days post op. No problems with food.Feel like I could eat anything with no problems. Went to a support group tonight, but almost everyone was by pass people so didn't relate to them. Feel like I'm on an island and no one notices or understands.

  17. I am getting pretty full on a cup as long as it has plenty of substance to it. Had spaghetti sauce with a little ground hamburger in it tonight. Very satisfying.
  18. Debbie I have had tuna the last 2 days for lunch and it has been very satisfying. Good luck. Hugh temptations at work for me today. Bagels brought in for lunch. Then pizza for lunch. Cake pops to top it off. It was a rough day. Tomorrow looks to be the same, with qdoba for lunch...
  19. I am just 8 days post op. Went back to work yesterday, and today they bring in Panera bagels for breakfast, my favorite. Baked ziti for lunch. And to top it off cake pops. How oh how to ward off these temptations????
  20. I use My Fitness Pal. I have it on my smartphone and it is so easy. It really helps to keep you on track.
  21. 5.0junkie, sorry to hear your still on liquids. My Dr moved me off day 4 post ok. Mushies and soft food help give you more energy. Hang in there. Hopefully you don't have much longer. I'm in my first full day back to work, and it's kicking my butt.
  22. Georgia, stop in the grocery store. Grab a yogurt or applesauce that are in the tubes so you can eat on the go.
  23. I had the surgical glue as well. I just was not sure if I could put anything on it.
