  1. Lisa, when I grow up, I wanna be just like you. :thankyou:
  2. Cindy, chicken is a food I must eat VERY S L O W! So dont think its just you, alot of us have to really take small bites and swallow slowly with this one. The reason I asked about your doc's response is because when I went for my second fill, MY doc pulled out less. I was concerened! VERY concerned. But his nurse assured me that he probably wrote the wrong number on the fill level - and IF I had a leak, I would be able to tell due to loss of restriction! She was right. No loss of restriction here! Ive only had 2 fills, and my last one was 14 months ago. During my cycle, I should be on liquids - due to so much restriction. So I know all is well. If your doctor isnt concerned, then try not to worry. The signs of a leak: loss of restriction and no weightloss. If you experience these 2 things, then Id give him a call. :thankyou:
  3. I actually laughed out loud on this one - how funny!!!! I LOVED this one! Your dad was quick to answer... he gets a LBT high-five!

My Anne Marie as the Star - in her Christmas program.
  5. Welcome Welcome!!! We love having new folks around here! Just take a peak at old threads and you should find tons of great pre-banding advice!
  6. I dont blame you! I would feel the same. And IF you decide to go with another surgeon, thats fine too!!! Good luck... and just remember, this switch NOW may be "best" in the long run of things!
  7. Welcome Anna!!! and you are from Ireland??? WOW! Ive heard that was a beautiful place! Congrat's on your surgery date! And again, WELCOME WELCOME!
  8. Kathy, WHEN???? when do you have tickets for the show? Please let us know so we can be glued to the tube - watching for you. Btw... who's Oprah? hehehe
  9. John, Im going to bump your thread up - just befcause you have a great question - and WE have lots of Houston readers. Wish I knew the answer though...
  10. Babygirl, just remember: Due to recent banding, you aint gonna look like that for long!:biggrin1: :biggrin1:
  11. This is the last time Im hi-jacking this thread, I promise... sorry Leatha! Ginny, and whats up with this new weight of 225????? Something must be going VERY well for you. Dont stay gone so long, k?
  12. Leatha, youre good! Ginny, in my simple home life... I figured you were busy snipping hair. And Bible college? you go!
  13. Alex, when I read your post, tears came to my eyes. I relate so well. You have won the lottery - The lottery of life! What an experience that your girls will NEVER forget... and neither will you.
  14. HI Cindy, I agree with Alex... could be a leak. What did your doc say about it?
  15. Hey Girl... how's the "gurgly burpy kinda jumpy sensation"??? feeling better?
  16. :happybday2: Happy Happy day to you... hope you are having a great one!
  17. regarding surgeons.... I suggest you get the closest/best one possible. This is not just a one time surgery and your are done. We need aftercare several times after getting the band... for adjustments! So consider this as well when chosing your surgeon. good luck
  18. HI chicken, I as addressing "mzbabytee"'s questions! Sorry for the confusion
  19. I agree with Annette about useing caution to handle him. I cant remember, but Im thinking we had a weight limit for the first 1-3 weeks. My youngest was 1 1/2 when I had my sugery - and I just had him climb onto me instead of me picking him up. Ask your surgeon about post surgery weight restrictions!
  20. DeLarla, when metobolife was popular, I used it. I took all of the first bottle then second time around I bought the Walmart version of it... "metobolift" I think. Something was different, I mean the chemical structure in it. It made me mean. I talking about #1 bitch kind of mean. It must have been bad, cause I could tell how mean I was. My cousin had the same experience with it as well. Just telling you this for you to use caution with the generic version. Sometimes it pays to buy the real thing, or wait ill they get the real thing in. So if you dont have success with the generic, give the real one a try before ditching the whole thing.
  21. adipex/phentermine = speed. This med made my skin crawl... you know, the goosebumps! Its the most effective for weightloss, but has the most wiggy side affect. I like tenuate. Not nearly the "wiggy" feeling as adipex. And it comes in a oblong tablet that you can easily break in half - for those days when you only need a half. I like diet pills. Actually I need a few to kick start the weightloss again. My question to you Kee, is what happens if you take the diet pills on the required "diet plan" - and you lose so much that you no longer qualify for the insurance to pay for wls?
  22. Is that Ginny that posted?? our Ginny???? I just asked about her! WE MISS YOU GINNY!!!! PLEASE COME HOME! And I agree, we need a Galveston trip planned soon... REAL soon!
  23. lethalwoman is back... I didnt know she had left?!?! LOL Youre too much of an inspiration to stay under for long.... I knew youd resurect!! becareful, your motivating me to do some exercising!
  24. I HAD to share this with all of you... (((hope Im not crashing the party))) pretty creative advertisement, dont you think?
  25. Gosh, this could be a number of things. Have you heard from your doctor yet? Please keep us posted on what he's choosing to do - AND the results. Many of us have expereinced this, but it was after a fill. Im with the others about sticking to liquids/soft foods until doc has a chance to see whats going on. hang in there...
