It was at the point when I could no longer keep up with my friends while walking on the beach in Galveston that I realized I needed to make a change. I hated the way I looked, the way I felt, everything. I stopped wanting to go out with my friends because I would catch a glimpse of myself and get very depressed. I went to True Results and met everyone there and decided that was the place for me. I was scared and I knew it wasn't going to be easy but I did it.

On August 30, I was banded. My mom and dad both were there and my mom has remained in the USA to help me through recovery. I'm on week 2 currently. I feel more like myself and I'm even starting to get a little more energy.

Week one post op was the worst, never felt so sick and miserable in my life. I was constantly dry heaving and nauseous and the idea of drinking broth made me sick. I called my doctor, after they prescribed me some nausea medicine I finally started to feel better and even start to drink more broth.

Week 2, loving the soups and the energy. Wish I could do more than I can though. I feel like myself until I consider doing something like stretching or twisting my back then I remember that I can't just yet.

It's a story in progress :)
