  1. Well tomorrow I go back to work so hoping it will be easier
  2. Day 1 of liquid diet almost over. Hasn't been so bad...let's see what's in store tomorrow
  3. My pre op is jan 7 and surgery jan 15. Just received my insurance approval letter woohoo
  4. I'm also doing a 2 week liquid diet. My surgery is on Jan 15 so I'll be right there with you guys!

  6. I would like to lose 100lbs My Nsv would be to walk into any store and just pick an outfit that fits nicely. Also, to wear my knee high boots. I also want to just be able to play with my two boys comfortably. I have a5 year old and 1 year old

  8. I've been there too. Not fun! We will make it work I'm just nervous for the surgery. Hope it is successful. I'm a worry wart when it comes to that.
  9. I am. Haven't gotten my scheduled date yet. The 2 week fast during Christmas and New Years will be hard.

  11. I'm dreading the 2 week pre op diet during the holidays. It will be worth it though!

  14. Was there a reason some of u chose to stay overnight? Should I be prepared for that? Is it common at Nyu?

  17. IM reading the other forums and people Complain of complications such as coughing not being able to swallow and clots. How common are these things
  18. Dr fielding George is mine too. I'm in the pre op 3 month nutritionist phase
  19. Am I the only one actually worried about the surgery part of the band? My husband is an md and says it's no big deal but I worry about it. Concerned about general anesthesia and such.
  20. Time will just fly I'm sure. I just always get nervous like, is this safe I don't want to die type thing but my dr. Said its equal to getting appendix removed, so very safe.
  21. Met with Dr. Fielding today at Nyu. He seems cool and relaxed. I have 3 more weigh ins but will get the band in January. Looking forward to it but nervous about the surgery and healing process.
  22. Just curious. If your bmi is NOT 40 Or greater and you don't have hbp, diabetes, heart issues or sleep apnea (so your only problem is weight) will you somehow get approved for the procedure? Any other tips you guys can think of to get approved? I've had 2 vascular surgeries and had my surgeon write that band would eliminate some of the vericose problem but not sure ghi would go for that. Any tips and tricks?
  23. At the hair salon and looking at myself in one of those full length mirrors. I can't wait to get banded. I feel like I look horrible :-(
  24. I'm going to my consultation on Tuesday. Lets see what happens I'm excited. Did you get a surgery date that day? Or did you have to schedule it when you finished diet requirements? I'm a teacher and would like to schedule during a vacation time.
