  3. I'm not really sure what is going on with me right now. As long as I can remember, I've wanted to be skinny, and now I am. I think I used food as a crutch before when things got rough. Now, I'm starting to drink every day. I sometimes feel like my husband is uncomfortable with how attractive others find me. Everything just feels off right now :/. My one year bandiversary was Oct 1st of this year, so I'm new to being a veteran. I'm just wondering if others have struggled with these same issues.

  5. I am feeling wonderful and I am so happy I decided to get my lap band. I was 215 lbs when I started this journey and a size 18/20. At my last doc appt, I weighed 178 , and I'm down to a size 14, and even those jeans are getting baggy!! I remember being so scared that this wouldn't work for me, so I would get on here and find comfort while reading others success stories. I know it's only been a few months for me, so here's hoping this is the beginning of my success story!!

  8. I'm going for my first fill on November 11th and have been wondering if it was going to be painful. I cannot wait to feel some restriction. I have none now and it's getting incredibly hard to control my hunger....aaagh. I guess this is the time known as bandster hell!
  9. My doctor appt went great. I've lost 18 pounds so far so that's exciting, and I get to eat mushy food now, so that's making me happy!! I get my first fill on Nov 11th, so hopefully I can lose some more weight inbetween now and then and then even more after my fill
  10. I get my first fill on Nov 11th It's exciting! Good luck and best wishes to ya!

  12. I am five days post op, and I am being quite emotional today. I want to snack with my kids and go to my usual comfort which is food, so now I'm trying to find things to occupy my mind so I don't think about food. I'm also still pretty sore from surgery and my nurse had a heck of a time starting my iv so I have a baseball sized bruise on each arm which make me look terrible! I can't wait for these first weeks post op to be a distant memory.

  14. I am 5 days post op and I too feel like I am starving. I can have some yogurt and cream soups so for dinner I had a little yogurt and some soup while my family had pizza. I'm having a hard time finding things that I like to eat or drink so I'm just having pity parties for myself and skipping food altogether at times, which I know isn't good. I feel very weak. I see my doc on Monday so maybe he'll have some suggestions. It's def nice to read all of the success stories on here. It makes me feel like this is going to be worth it in the end. I'm just having a rough day today.

  17. I'm getting banded this Tues, Oct 1st. I have a 7 year old, a 5 year old and twin 2 year olds. I'm also super nervous about recovery with all of the craziness in my house! My hubby took a few days off to help out until I'm feeling better.
  18. I'm 10/1 also!! I started my preop diet last Tuesday and it is sooooo rough!! Super excited though
