  5. I mean I don't want to call attention to myself really in public but I was out to dinner with the hubby and I had soup and the spoon was huge to me I was eating to much to fast and started.to get that lump in throat feel. I think maybe a kid size set would help.
  6. I was wondering do you think that if I purchased mini or child size silverware it would help me regulate portions per bite? Has anyone tried this? I truly want to succeed but I think I need all the help I can get.
  7. I'm a week post OP and I don't know I feel strange not sure if it's normal. I've been doing my liquids and I think I'm either taking too much or too fast or both. After I take anything I feel like there is a lump low in my thoat and there is dull ache in the middle of my back. Anyone else experience this?

  11. I know every year I'm thankful but this year is different. And I'd just like to shout from the rooftops for a moment. I am thankful for: To the Lord for a new chance at a better life. Banded 6 days ago. The new side my husband showed me in taking care of me. The support of my dearest friends. The surgeon who is the nicest doctor ever and answers questions and, wants email updates. The two online support groups I've become a part of here on one on Facebook you guys are wonderful. EmJay my band buddy, banded the same day we're in this together. And so much more I'd be here days if I listed all.
  12. Amen to that! I'm 5 days post OP and I'm living on my heating pad. Really helpful so is.the walking if you can swing your arms a little I think it helped me the gas didn't didn't make me feel like im having a heart attack
  13. I make a pretty good veggie pizza. Was just curious if it can be tolerated. Thanks
  14. My doctor did not want me to have this surgery and when diet after diet failed I boldly asked, " how do you plan to help prevent me from dying from obesity?". That's brilliant! I asked for the surgery on my first meeting with the new PCP after my old one moved to another state. She is very supportive although I wanted RNY her office came back with Band. (I believe in God's leading) she's all for me getting healthy especially after she read my very detailed 5 yrs of doctor monitored attempts. I am 4 days post OP and in very good hands between hers and my Band surgeon. Good luck with your journey prayers you get the same great care.

  22. Surgery this morning and I feel in my left shoulder blade. As I've been told walk walk walk
  23. The surgery went well last thing I remember before I was knocked out was my surgeon and my anesthesiologist were arguing over what type of music to play Klove my choice or rock the anesthesiologist choice I never found out till recovery they play Christmas music lol I don't even remember being drowsy. They said I did really well with it and it took the minimum time 45 mins they had a little scare when I woke up I couldn't swallow and it turned out was from the numbing solution they used for the breathing tube. Went away fairly fast. We had I problem because I was kicked out before I was ready my surgeon is not happy about that and looking into that. So now I'm home and sore and the gas the injected for the surgery really hurts so I'm going to take the Lortab elixir they gave me a conk out for a while.
  24. I thought I'd be more nervous but I'm just anxious to be done. Wish me luck!
