  1. finally been able to get online ..im post-op 3 days I got banded Feb 6th so far so good I do have some gas pain as expected I hope it goes away soon ..im excited

  3. Hello everyone I thought I was the only one from Yuma having or have had bariatric surgery . I mean I know there is a clinic here but its like very few of us barely run into each other I am going to get my lap Band here in Yuma with Dr.Jensen she is a very nice lady my visit with her have been great. I know they do the lap band and sleeve here in Yuma only.. my surgery date is February 6 2014 im kind of nervous scared and excited as the days are passing by. I guess im just scared that I wont be able to eat after wards..im still looking forward on getting the band ..

  5. my bmi is 38 and my insurance approved my surgery ..I have united healthcare and they had me go thru 6 months of monthly weigh in with my pcp. soon to be banded in two weeks

  8. I have looked and researched around japan and there is one in Okinawa but its offbase and I dont know if tricare would cover my fills with the civilian Dr. I really wish there was a bariatric dr onbase
  9. Hello everyone I had a few questions. Do you know if you can be stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan if you've been banned?.. I will be banded in January and my husband is being stationed overseas? Will I still be allowed to accompany him with this procedure ?
  10. Well yesterday my sleep study results came in and they said I have a mild case of sleep apnea which will go away after surgery I wonder if I'd get approved with mild sleep apnea and a bmi of 39 I've been losing weight off and on but just wondering if I'd get denied for losing weight as well

  13. Yes ladies and Gents waiting is so slow for me I finished everything I had to do from sleep apnea study to psyhic eval to nutritionist and got my upper gi done now all that's left are those darn weigh ins.I need 6 months for my insurance to approve I got 2 down 4more to go
  14. I wish 4 months would fast forward I want to get all my weigh ins with my pcp over with so I can file to my insurance so I can get approved uggh the wait is horrible. Anyone else still waiting?
  15. Wondering if anyone has gotten Approved for lap band with less than 100lbs to lose? I checked with the metlife chart and I don't see my height on there it starts at 4'10 and well I'm 4'9. I weigh 183lbs and my bmi is 39.69 I have sleep apnea and high cholesterol and a fatty liver . Worried that I won't get approved

Hello everyone I'm a newbie on here and much like everyone else I have a few questions ..I see on here that u have to be 100lbs over your ideal weight or more with obesity conditions to get approved by tricare prime. Ok I looked at the metlife chart and it only goes ul to 4'10 :/ I'm 4'9 and I weigh 183 but I do have sleep apnea and a fatty liver and high cholesterol ..do you all think Tricare lrime will approve me?

I have finish everything I have to do my sleep apena study nutrition visit and psychological evaluation all I have left is those long 4 months of my pcp monthly weigh ins ..It feels like forever I will probably be get my Surgery date in January :/

    No it wasn't, my first visit was 39.60 that's why I'm worried I do have sleep apnea and high cholesterol ,high liver enzymes but nothing more serious than that ..

Thank you for your info I'm from Arizona and waiting for other people who have been where I am now ..I guess everyone who has tricare have to vo thru 6 months of weigh ins with their pcp for the insurance to get approved from what I read I've vone to the bariatric office and I guess they need my psychiatric results and sleep apnea results plus the 6 months nutrition weigh ins to be finished before they send my file to get approved from what I have read on here
