  1. Sorry didn't finish the story, someone came to the door. My surgery scheduler called and told me that the Doctor said that she won't be able to perform the sleeve because I have reflux (go figure), but she will be able to do the rnybypass. I was totally destroyed. This sleeve been on my mind all year and that's all I worked for. I got depressed and texted a few people. Afterwards I found the app for the bypass and even though its set up just like this one the people are different and I miss the people from this site. I just don't want anyone to have a problem now that I'm having the bypass and not the sleeve. **sorry if the words are small, I'm typing from my phone**
  2. I've started my process for the sleeve in March 2013. I jumped through most of the hoops for surgery. When I went for my chest xray, ekg & barium swallow July 1st I received a call
  3. I'm having mines done with Dr. Elizabeth Salzberg at Bon Secours Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth. Hey...everytime I read Dr. Salzberg I was like 'man this chick is busy'. Little did I know ya'll were referring to a man. Lol Good to know that there's people my area on this journey. Im looking at pay Sept./ early Oct. I have to get my Protein & Iron up so after I retake some labs in the next few weeks I'll get my date. All other test are done and only 2 more PCP visits.
  4. What is the website address to get full access? I installed the app first once I removed my vertical sleeve app and it says RNYTalk.com but when I plug that into my computer it says that it can't find it. I really would like to fill out my profile and make my ticker.
  5. I have PCIP here in Virginia and the first thing I did after they said that they pay for surgery is for them to email me the criteria for surgery. They emailed it to me and once I went to my first weight loss seminar the surgery scheduler told me everything that was required for surgery. 6 months PCP visits (I'm on month 4) Physh clearance Dietician appt. Chest xray Ekg Lab work Cardiac clearance (I have stents) The actual program I'm going through wants 1 group meeting Mammogram Colonoscopy And $120 for 6 1hr personal training sessions. All of my things are done, except the PCP visits. They said they would pull my records in month 5 for submitting but my PCP doesn't work fridays and my July appt. was pushed to August 1st. That's no big deal because my albumin & Iron is low so they gave me 4 weeks to bring the numbers up with Protein shakes and iron pills. Other than that I'm ready to go. Hopefully I'll have a date by the middle of August when my labs are redond, I'll keep you posted.
  6. Today is my first day here. I was on verticalsleevetalk.com since I was getting the sleeve. Now since I'm not I've joined here.....but I went straight for the app and don't know what website it is. If anybody could help me I'd appreciate it.
  7. I'm apologizing in the beginning if this typing appears small. I had issues like that on the Vertical Sleeve site when typing from my phone. I just found out today that I have bad reflux so my surgeon won't do the gastric sleeve. I never had heartburn so I couldn't understand it. Anyway she said she'll have to do the RYN bypass instead so I joined this forum. My thoughts are all over the place at this moment for I've been geared up for the sleeve all this year. I'm coming here for support.
