  1. I was able to start a regular food diet this week. I am really having a hard time with it. I am actually up like 7 lbs since surgery 3 weeks ago. I am so frustrated and don't know what to do. I did talk to my doctor about it and he want's me to log my food before my apt in a week and a half for a fill. I did have to have all the Fluid removed from the band 2 days post op because of swelling. Any ideas
  2. I saw on here someone said they put thicker soup in the blender to thin it out. I am thinking of trying that after my surgery next week. Because I agree at this point I am so over shakes.
  3. Yes we can! I would love to be a support to you as you go through this as well. Especially since we are on the same time schedule. I will message you so we can exchange information if you would like.
  4. I know that is something I will have to deal with always but today seems so hard. I think in the future, I can pick up a carrot stick or something healthy to snack on when it happens. Thanks for the luck I may need it.
  5. I feel for you I am no day 8 of it and dying today. I have done great so far with just a few bites of food here and there, but today is the worse. The girl beside me at work has done nothing but eat today and I can't take it much longer. I was just in the bathroom crying because of it.
  6. So I have tried to be really upbeat about the pre op diet and not getting down. But today is killing me. The girl that sits less that 2 feet away from me at work has been eating ALL day. The smell of the food, the crunching of it and noise of the bag is enough to put me over the edge. The really messed up thing is I have told very Few people about what I am doing and she is one of them. So it feels like a total punch in the face! http://journalofachunkyprincess.blogspot.com/
  7. Thanks so much! It is so hard, these 2 weeks before. I am so excited at the thought of soup in 2 weeks and I don't even like soup!
  8. I know it may sound like a small thing to many but I made it through a Saturday out with my mom while on my liquid diet. Every Saturday she and I go shopping and usually have lunch out. I have an 18 month old we take with us. I am 5 days into my pre op diet and we went shopping today. We stopped at McDonald's for her and my son to get a bite to eat. I got myself a diet soda which I am able to have during the diet. I love McDonald's grilled snack wraps. They sat and ate and I survived. I have to say it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Maybe I am finally getting the mind part of this down. I hope so I am so worried about after surgery! http://journalofachunkyprincess.blogspot.com/
  9. So I called my doctor's office today about that and they told me I can't do that. To try to increase my water and maybe cut the bars in half to have those 4 times a day.
  10. I am two weeks from surgery and doing my pre diet. I am only finishing up day two and seem to be doing ok. Wondering what everyone else did to make the shakes last a little longer for them or add flavor to it. I am looking for any support during this process you can give. I started a blog if anyone would like to follow it. http://journalofachunkyprincess.blogspot.com/
  11. Thank you for the kind words. I know I need to do this for my son, and myself, but it still is hard. i am so glad I found this group for the support
  12. Hello I am Melinda. I am two weeks from surgery and looking for support that anyone will give. I started a blog today about my journey to have for myself during the process. I would love to share it with you all. http://journalofachunkyprincess.blogspot.com/
