  1. I have always wanted a brazilian wax. After reading this thread I am inspired to try.
  2. I had to wear those genie bras for the first two weeks because they were soft, flexible, and did not press on my port. I am 1 month out now and it has gotten better and I can wear the underwires now without problem.

  4. My husband knows I get on here and is glad I have the support. I don't go to a local support group but am so glad I have this site. I can get on when I cannot sleep or when I'm having a hard time. This is my place to be sad, happy, and vent. Always nice to know there are others in the same place I am.
  5. Sex

I'm glad that this topic came up because I was a little nervous after surgery. I had to wait 2 weeks because I had my tubes tied and my uterus ablated the same time I was banded. I was worried about being on my back because of our stomachs rubbing. I am most comfortable with him behind me. I am hoping as I lose weight my sex drive gets better. Has anyone noticed a difference with weight loss? I wish there was a viagra for women.
  6. I am a nurse practitioner and have a full practice. I will hit the ground running tomorrow. I go weeks to months without a day off. Hoping my stress level does not get out of control and I can continue to get healthy. There will b a lot of questions from patients and staff. I know people mean well but don't want to have to explain myself. I haven't tried watermelon but it does sound good. I can see why you wanted some. Are you nauseated still after throwing up? Or was it a one time deal and done?
  7. Thanks I needed that. You have been such good support for me.
  8. My taste buds have changed. I used to love ice cream it was always my go to stress food. I have tried to eat it twice since surgery Aug 6 th and it tastes bad. I never thought I would say that but it does.
  9. Ugh have to go back to work tomorrow. It has been such a good break. Stress free. Worried about going back and not taking care of myself. I hope I can stay on the road I have been on. I have made this change and may need to make one in regards to work.
  10. I am taking 5000 mcg of Biotin, 2 mvi a day, Iron once a day. I also bought some have loss shampoo and cream. If it makes my hair thicker good for me, if it starts growing new hair so when I do lose it then I will be happy too. Hair loss typically starts at about 3 months after surgery. I'm glad you get your first fill soon. Hopefully they will help. Let us know how you do with your fill.
  11. Well had my band placed 1 month ago today and I'm down 19.2 lbs. My bmi for the first time in years was 29. Its sad that I was excited to be considered overweight and not obese. NSV.
  12. This is the best post i have read in a while. You are awesome.
  13. I take a biotin, 2 Multivitamins, and an Iron a day. I eat at least 60 grams of Protein a day. Iron has a lot to do with hair loss as well. We are at risk for iron deficiency because of the smaller amounts of food and being female. I also ordered some hair growth products. Crossing my fingers that my hair at least stays as it is.
  14. Most everyone goes through a "withdrawal" from sugar and carbs. You can get headaches, be irritable, and a little nauseated however staying hydrated and using some sea salt in your drinks tends to help. The good news is that uoi shouldn't have major cravings after surgery because you have already gotten all the bad stuff out of your system. Tell him maybe he needs a hotel room for 3 days
  15. I haven't ever had a fill is the thing and I don't have anything in my band. That's the weird thing. I guess it will be something I will have to be conscious of in future travels.
