My surgery date is Sept 11 and I have to get a ultrasound of the heart Friday praying my heart is normal and can move forward with this procedure starting my liquid diet earlier to get myself used to the lifestyle in case I slip I'm still ok with time I'm hoping to lose 20lbs and I will post the activity I did that day...this blogging may give me motivation to get off the couch and work on myself and for the future I pray everyday Jehovah gives me the strength and control not to mess this life changing way of life because my family needs me more than being a person on the couch or in hospitals it gets depressing to see how your life can flash by and when your this weight everyone shuffles around you but I want to be with the shuffle not afraid if I fit in a chair at someone's house or event or afraid to break a chair so you sit as lightly as you can never enjoying a conversation because your attention is on your weight I can't wait for my mind to be at ease and see myself as an inspiration maybe to others to take this journey and put your heart into because you are beautiful and worth every pound you struggle to lose because I know the feeling of walking to a doctor office and the lady nicely puts the scale 100 lbs less than you weigh and you say move it over and she moves it up another 50lbs and your like no one more can't wait until I can proudly stand straight not at an angle and be under 200lbs thank you for reading and congrats on the new YOU...

I'm Sept 11 I can't wait for the change

I am afraid of not maintaining my pre op weight that I reached...my doctor requires no liquid diet but I want to do it to help me lose more weight. I am so nervous wonder how my day will be also my boss allowed me 6 weeks off don't think I need it but happy to see her supporting me thanks for reading Lysetfe

Thank you so much for the encouraging words I will follow to a T but I'm afraid of not being able to intake enough calories and not lose weight I want to ensure I stay hydrated

APPROVED for surgery...I meet with the Dr to sign papers and decide a date I'm super excited will he tell me the prep I need to follow on that day? I don't know what to do with myself I'm so excited...

Congrats I got my approval too so excited for the road of being a healthier me

Got news from office secretary and doctor signed off on all the documentation for insurance...I will have my answer by next week this is what I been waiting for and I need help what shakes do I buy something that taste well but will be enough for me to survive...thanks and have a great week

Have a speedy recovery and are you staying overnight or going home today?

I was cleared by pulmonary and GI doc for surgery...I have a CPAP machine which I slept like a baby no waking up in the middle of the night or using the restroom so I'm happy with it...My BACK is killing me ???«because I sleep on my belly and with the machine I have to sleep on back or side. Boooooooooo I miss bury my face in my pillow...lol I get my clearance letters today to fax to surgeon which is a weight lifted off my shoulders...I want to start drinking Protein Shakes before hand because I don't want to be the person who becomes the Taz Mania Devil ???€and trying to overload on food. I currently been diagnosed as Lactose intolerant...Does any of you guys know supplements or shakes which are milk and lactose free? I hope everyone has a great week thank you for reading my post ✌

Hello to anyone who is reading my thread and thank you for taking the time out to write back...I met with Psych cleared for surgery as of yesterday, all that's left is my GI doc and Pulmonary since I have slight sleep apnea which the office coordinator has said I will be in the hospital for a night...What should I expect the day of surgery and being in hospital? I never been so scared and excited at the same time even though its been hard for me to lose weight all these years I still feel guilty like what could I have done different and failure for choosing surgery? It's the way conversation goes around in my office about a ladies husband whose been having health set backs and they consistently blame the lap band and say things like he should have just stayed big for all those issues...than my doubts creep in I'm mentally ready and worried I may be the select population to have all the bad things of lap band happen to me...???Šwish me luck everything will be submitted to insurance on July 15, 2013 any information from anyone is appreciated...

Thanks for the advice...was being there one night a benefit for you to make sure you were ok? I heard the same thing from YouTube users to walk right away please keep me posted on your progress
